Solar is great!! No special wiring needed. The battery lasts a long time. Installation was easy and straightforward. Camera quality is good, speaker is loud and clear too. Night vision works really well too. Bright lights might effect the view but still functions fine. Make sure to mount it in the ideal spot to cover all the areas you want to monitor. Had this for 2 months. Great solar power, the EIOT card seemed to be less than a seperately added T-moble line (data only). I had it perched on a vertical wall of a building about 8-10' high pointed at a back yard at a remote rental property. You can pick 4 areas to lock in for remote control of the view. There is a default view where it sits when it just chills. My concern is that it does not pick up motion over about 40 feet. Also, when you set a specific area to monitor humans (or cars, etc.) it would only focus on that location and nothing else. Resetting the sensitivity to various positions did not improve the situation. I've owned other Eufy cams (about 6 at our residence) and they all cover a broad area, love them! But they do not have the feature of wifi use only (why I tried the S330) -- they are either solar or battery-recharged. The S330 is easy to set up and install. But I need more coverage distance and a broader motion detection. Hope this helps someone.
