It's a diode - works like a diode, looks like a diode. Good to use for 24VDC surge suppresion on DC Relays.

My $9000 Mercury outboard (under factory warranty) has a sacrificial diode in the ignition circuit to prevent damage to the circuit in the event of reversed polarity. I inadvertently swapped the polarity when installing a new battery and needed to replace the diode. Mercury wanted $60 for the wiring harness but more aggravating was the 5-6 month lead time for what amounts to a $3 piece of wire with 2 ring lugs and a diode crimped on it. $60 and 5 months without an outboard for $3 worth of material. I bought these, cut the old wire harness at the bad diode, soldered one of these into the circuit and it works like a charm.
