I got this EMF detector to see if my wifi router was too close to a crib, and check other electronics as well. It it amazing to hold it next to various things and see how much EMF they produce, interestingly my Iphone 14 barely held right next to it made the signal barely increase at all, versus my Microsoft surface pro 9 made the detector go absolutely nuts off the charts. My Ipad only made it go up slightly. We have a White Noise making "Hatch" in our room and it also made the detector go nuts - which is strange - it was even higher than the wifi router ironically.

La caja ya deja claro que este artilugio es tipo profesional, dentro la bolsa con cremallera (muy buen detalle) confirma que es para tenerlo a mano pero bien protegido. Un cable USB-C para cargar la batería (otro importante detalle, adiós a las pilas) y un sencillo cuadernillo para las instrucciones multiidioma.El manejo no es muy complejo, bastante intuitivo y las diversas mediciones salvo RF están pulsando repetidamente un botón, los valores máximo y medio es buena referencia en otro pulsador, como la retención de medida o activar la campana.Seleccionando el tipo de medición ya solo es cuestión de moverse con él y localizar las fuentes eléctricas o electromagnéticas que más campo generan, de hecho cuando es muy alto nos avisa. En cuando a la radiación RF también nos podría indicar si la radiación de alguna torre de comunicaciones está a un nivel poco recomendable.Supongo que las mediciones que aporta son orientativas (no es un aparato de laboratorio), pero lo suficiente para que podamos tomar medidas en nuestro entorno por exceso de radiaciones, por ejemplo.Yo solo por como viene y que mide cosas que un tester normal no, me parece un buen complemento para que nuestra casa (por desconocimiento) sea una tormenta de radiaciones y campos electromagnéticos sin necesidad. Me fio de sus indicaciones, hay software para móvil que hace algo parecido, pero creo que igual no tan fiables como este y puedan llegar a crear un alarmismo innecesario.Por todo lo dicho creo que merece una buena nota, aunque a ver, para un uso puntual, el precio que tiene puede parecer excesivo al no sacarle partido, eso ya es a gusto del consumidor.

The device housing is robust, seemingly well-made (i.e. - doesn't feel flimsy or brittle or cheap). The device seems to work well - I don't have a means of reliably verifying its accuracy except to compare it to similar devices (whose accuracy I also cannot verify). Using that highly scientific method, it appears to be accurate, at least as accurate as I would expect (I am in a fairly "field rich" environment - very noisy - so I'm not expecting any sort of precision, and wouldn't be able to recognize it if I saw it).The axis markings on the sensor are confusing - I don't think they are meaningful, I think the manufacturer put that there to call attention to the multi-axis magnetometer I'm sure they used - but I don't think that the axes depicted correspond to anything. At least, they certainly do not seem to.None of my other meters have such markings (that I've noticed) - so I think this is a bit of a gimmick, and that doesn't really detract from the usefulness of the device, though it was the principle reason I ordered this one - out of curiosity to be honest.

"I'm extremely satisfied with the MESTEK EMF02R EMF detector. As an IT Director and electronics repair professional, I've found this device to be an invaluable tool in identifying sources of electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency (RF) radiation in various environments. At home, I've used it to detect high EMF levels near my HVAC system's high-frequency (HF) drivers, which has helped me take steps to mitigate the issue and create a safer living space. In my professional work, I've used the EMF02R to troubleshoot issues with electronic equipment and identify potential sources of EMI that could be causing problems. The device is easy to use and provides accurate readings of magnetic, electric, and radio frequency radiation. The large color LCD screen and three-color analog display bar make it easy to understand the data, and the audible alarm feature is a great addition. I've also used it to test Wi-Fi signals and 5G signals, and it's been very helpful in identifying areas of high EMF radiation. But what's also impressed me is the potential for this device to detect hidden bugs or trackers that may be emitting RF signals. I have to say that it is a bit of a disappointment. I compared the temperature to their own Mestek TH10 and a calibrated RTD transmitter, and it was like to have three watches. The TH10 and the calibrated RTD were close. I did lots of studying to figure out the EMF and EF field frequencies, and I am not convinced that the numbers I see on this device are the actual numbers. The big reason is that they are such small units that anything will set them off. I think that they need a wider range to get more realistic values to measure. Seems that you can max out all the measurements very quickly.

Und das ist nur ein na sagen mir mal einfaches Messgerät. Aber was dieses Teil schon an Hochfrequenz und Elektromagnetischer Strahlung anzeigt, lässt einem die Augen übergehen. Sicher alles im kleinem Bereich, aber die Frequenzen überlagern und potenzieren sich. Was im laufe der Jahre alles an super schönen WLAN und Bluetooth Geräten entwickelt wurde ist ja schön und gut und erleichtert vermeintlich dein Leben……Aber zu welchen Preis.Also so ein Teil anschaffen und dann über eventuelle Einschränkungen, Abschirmungen und dergleichen nachdenken.

This is a well made, easy to use EMF detector. I've used it around my house to see what areas I'd best avoid. Making sure my bed and desk aren't in a dangerous area. It appears to work well and has put my mind to rest. I'd recommend it.
