This is a great piece of emergency gear. The radio signals come in fairly strong with little drift or fade, although the speaker does leave a something be desired, my primary use of this is for information, not casual music listening. It holds a charge a good long time, and it recharges quickly with the included cable. As always, the solar panel is a border-line decoration, you will NOT recharge this radio from a dead state using the little solar panel, but it CAN trickle in a bit of power if you leave it in the sun for a long time. The generator crank works, but as with most units, it takes a LOT of effort to get even a moderate amount of charge from it. Again, this is probably best to just top up, not recharge from a dead state. The radio is solidly made, and I appreciate the use of a rubber sheathing to cover the corners and edges for both grip, and added shock protection. Great piece of gear for the price.

I like having a weather radio handy just in case. This radio picks up NOAA with no issues, and it is able to tune to my local FM channels, but a longer beefier antenna would allow for better reception. The volume is fine and clear, but I don't need a weather radio loud enough for the neighbors to hear.I really like the ability to charge 3 different ways: USB-C, hand crank, or solar. I have not tried the solar, so hopefully it's functional. I have used the hand crank and it performs like any other crank radio or flashlight. It's a plus that you can charge other devices from this radio battery. It's supposed to have a 4,000mAh battery which is sufficient to power most normal cell phones.I also like the inclusion of the flashlight. It can be helpful if you don't have power due to storms bc you have the weather radio and light together. For $25 this is a good deal for a weather/AM-FM radio, flashlight and power bank. There could be a few improvements, but it's not a deal breaker as-is.

I'm a preparedness nut and having a survival radio around is an essential item to own in my book. I know a thing or two about solar radios since I sold them for over 30 years as a part of my business. So, how does this emergency radio stack up? My overall impression is pretty good. It has a good speaker to hear music or NOAA weather reports for your area. The AM/FM radio reception was clean and clear. Finding channels was pretty straight forward. This solar radio has THREE ways to power it: 1) by direct sunlight, 2) by USB into the input port and by hand crank. I recommend charging up the radio upon delivery and fully charge it from a USB wall plug or your home computer. This company, like most solar radio companies, say that you can charge up cell phones, i-pads and i-watches by using the hand crank output. That might be slightly good but your arm and wrist will give out long before the providing much power to your device. Don't plan on it.The flashlight 4 power settings worked well and in the low setting uses only 25% of the power for longer run times. The SOS flasher works. The siren was nice and loud to attract attention. The one thing that this radio is missing is a 4th power backup source of AA batteries. In by book, that is really essential because if you have no sun shine, USB power and the internal rechargeable battery goes dead, you could be saved with the battery backup. The crank re charger is good, but it will only provide but a few minutes of radio listening before needing to re charge the internal battery.BOTTOM-LINE, this is a nice emergency radio for the price. I might recommend though moving up to a larger one that does offer the a battery extra compartment as a 4th backup. They are typically in the $40-$75 range. Overall I RECOMMENDED this solar radio.

Having lived through blizzards, hurricanes, earthquakes and tornados, I like to be prepared for emergencies. An emergency radio is a must have. This radio is compact and has three ways to charge it: Solar, USB, and hand crank. I do wish that there was also a battery option, just because that's one more source, but overall, this is a nice emergency radio to have.
