My application of this pitcher is not as exquisite as its lab-purpose but I have a short faucet at work that we cannot get anything under except for this half-litre jug to fill our espresso machine with water LOL. It has been dropped several times and has zero cracks. The size is unique and this is a necessity in my office.

I'm not going to lie I was a little disappointed and thought it was going to be a glass beaker. It is a Polypropylene plastic beaker. It still does the job and can withhold high heat such as lye when soap making! I also make lotions too and the temperature is capable in that department as well. The beaker is easy to read, use, and clean. I'm not worried about accidentally dropping and breaking these. It is extremely sturdy.

I use it for mixing lye water for soap making. Holds up to the heat and I don't have to worry about shattering.

Sturdy for its size. Handle large enough for three fingers, about same size as on most coffee mugs and more than adequate for the weight of fluids one might put in the beaker. The beaker holds its shape, even with boiling water. Pours well without dribbling. Gradations are easy to see in most reasonable circumstances (not easy to see in the dark ;) )
