I used to be a bie hard Ernie Ball fan, until I tried Dunlop strings. These strings sound amazing for rock, punk, metal, country, blues, or pop rock. They're incredibly smooth, balanced sounding, hold tune very well, and last a long time.

Bought a sweet LTD ec401qm from the pawn shop and it had some very flimsy light strings on it. I ordered these and put them on and wow, instant heavy!!! They have great sustain and feel good on the fingers. I play mostly chug a lug metal no solos but I'll say they bend very well if needed. Also sounds very good clean but killer with a good distortion. Worth the money!

Dunlop ALWAYS delivers! I bought the 11-50's and tune to Open C (C, G, C, G, C, E) and they stay strong, in tune, bright, and heavy! I also bought the 12-54's for Drop Bb tuning (Bb, F, Bb, Eb, G, C) for the same reasoning! I have recently gone against my norm and bought other brands for different reasons, and the strings do not stack up at all against Dunlop.

This is my review of both the the 10-48 and the 11-50 sets.I originally started with the 10-48 and was very satisfied with them. They installed as easily as any other strings I've used and really didn't take any longer or less time to settle in as far as stretching/staying in tune. The overall sound is clear and defined..nice and punchy as well. I've only used them so far on a Warmoth custom build..(Swamp ash body Pau Ferro neck with Bare Knuckle Juggernauts and a Wilkinson Trem bridge). They stay in tune and sounded great up until I pulled them off after about 6-7 months.I had a recent jam with a friend and I tuned this guitar down to D standard and also some drop C. In a live setting I did notice the 10-48 low string just didn't have quite the tension I like at D standard/drop C. I previously had primarily left this guitar in either E or E flat...10-48 worked fantastic and had good tension at those tunings. The clean sounds were excellent..almost piano like tone and had very good definition and grind under heavy gain. Mid gain sounds were great as well. No goofy overtones..just a good solid fundamental tone.I just did not find them tight enough at the D standard tuning. So I swapped them for the 11-50 set and could not be happier. Same great sound and now they have noticeably better tension.Up to the last year or so I've mostly used GHS Boomers or Blue Steels. I wanted to try some of the new strings out there..I've recently tried The Dunlops..the DR Dimebag 10-52 set and Ernie Ball LTHB. Compared to those I like the Dunlop Heavy Cores better. The DR Dimebags are very comparable and sound great..but they are a bit darker and did not retain their great sound as long as the Heavy Cores did. I just didn't like the Ernie's...very tinny to start and seemed a bit too bright. I also have some DR DDT's, but I have not tried them yet.I primarily play metal but spend time in everything from Rock/Blues..to Jazz as well. While I wouldn't slap these on a 335 or Arch top, anything Metal, Rock, or Blues I'd highly recommend them.

My new favorite strings! I'll be purchasing these exclusively from now on! I tune down to drop C and these are the perfect gauge to where I get that thick, deep sound and they don't rattle. Also, it may be me but these strings seem to last way longer between changing than most strings I've used in the past. I usually need to change strings after every 1-2 gigs (or about 6 songs into recording an album) but these last several months before there's a noticeable drop in tonal quality, which in the long run saves me a great deal of time and money. Loving Dunlop these days!!
