Well, got this because I moved and now have a garden of irrigation lines that needed updating. This tool looked like it made the job easy.. well…. it sort of did.Punches holes fine in the plastic 1/4” pipe - even punched a hole in my finger, but the other end to hold the spike doesn’t work.Doesn’t get a proper grip and allows the spikes to bend. I snapped a number of drip line spikes trying to insert them into the 1/4” tubing.Get 3 ⭐️ for punching holes and the grip (it’s relatively comfortable) but drops 2 ⭐️ because the inserting end doesn’t work very well.

It worked for punching holes to install emitters. My use didn't require installing smaller lines feeding off the main line so I'm not sure how other connectors and adapters will fit or how easily they will install. It worked well for my particular use though.

Bought this after finishing 50% of my drip system and my hands were taking a beating from working with the small plastic pieces. This tool makes life a bit easier when making holes in the plastic. Just make sure not to push in too far or you may hit the other end and have 2 holes, causing a leak. Only happened once for me. The tool makes a small clock noise when you’ve made the hole and you just pull out. I only took away 1 star because I wish they had made the small plastic cap that covers the sharp end larger and possibly with a strap so you do not lose it. The clear was fell off mine and I can’t find it. Not a huge deal but this tool is sharp!

Used for my drip system. Worked as it should, sturdy and easy to use. Point is sharp. If you want holes in your main line to run drip lines....this will work! Would buy again if needed. Buy one and punch some holes!

I just used this tool for the first time a few minutes ago to make a hole in a main line tube (1/2" Toro Blue Stripe) and insert a small tube with a drip head.1. The hole puncher worked very well. It so easily punched a hole that I advise to be careful you don't punch out the other side. A few careful back and forth movements with a bit of pressure, and you have your hole. Also, the tip is sharp. Don't poke a hole in your finger and save the protective cap the tool comes with.2. The other end made it very easy to insert the drip line into the hole. I know some people said they had problems with this, but I just threaded the line in like it showed in the video, put a finger or thumb over the open edge of the channel the line goes in, and inserted the line into the hole at very slightly off 90 degrees with a bit of pressure and a few back and forth movements. The tool seems well made.I highly recommend this product for maintaining your drip system.

Puncture end worked really well as expected. The cable connector feature for my application worked really well for my application. I was inserting a barbed fitting into a hose if you put your thumb and forefinger finger as shown in the pictures and press in at a slight angle towards the underside of the tool it pushed in the barb quite easily. There were reviews saying it didn’t work for them but in my application it worked very well.

This tool was key to connecting the main line to the offshoots in my new water irrigation system. The pointy end easily poked the holes needed in the thick main line. Once the hole is made, inserting the smaller lines into the holes is really quite difficult so I tried using the opposite end of this tool (watch the videos on the product page to get an idea of what I mean). It’s a bit clumsy at first (as you have to hold it at just the right angle) but I definitely did end up using it for that second step too. Some cheaper tools just poke the hole, but I’m glad I sprung for this one since it helped me with the insertion step as well. Love my irrigation system and glad this is in my toolbox.
