  • Turbo System Leaks Tester: If you have a turbo-charged car, leaks can develop in the system. If you have any leaks in the turbo system, you will have a loss of boost pressure and a subsequent loss of power. and this turbo pressure testers kit are specially design to check turbo system leaks or cooling systems pipe, and to pressure test turbo pipes, intercoolers & cooling sytems pipes & radiators, help you easy to troubleshoot turbo leak, and find the leak location
  • Specification: This turbo system leakage tester kit include 16 stepped adapters, pressure gauge with shut off valve & regulator and smoke adapter. 16 stepped adapters for various pipe sizes: 31-38mm(1-1/4''-1-1/2''), 46-51mm(1-7/8''-2''), 55-60mm(2-1/8''-2-3/8''), 65-70mm(2-1/2''-2-3/4''), 75-80mm(3''-3-1/8''), 85-90mm(3-3/8''-3-1/2''), 95-100mm(3-3/4''-4''), 105-110mm(4-1/8''-4-1/4'')
  • Wide Application: This kit identifies any leaks within the turbo system using standard workshop air. Designed for turbo systems, but can also be used for radiators, coolers, tube/pipe assemblies. Fit most turbo systems on cars and light commercial vehicles, but also suitable for hoses on a small number of heavy commercial vehicles. And this turbo boost test kit is used for cars, LCV, HGV & marine systems. Tips: Please check if the set and stepped adapters are suitable for your vehicle model
  • With Pressure Guage Tester: with a 0-6 bar(0-87 psi) pressure guage, it could precise measurement the pressure inside the hose, included pressure regulator, press down it means lock, when you need adjust pressure, you need pull up it and rotate. and a red manual valve to control air pressure on and off; you can pull the red excess pressure release valve to reduce air pressure if over pressurisation
  • Easy To Check Turbo System Leaks: Make stoppers plugged hose intake and exhaust , use regulator connect stoppers and air compressor, pressurize the turbo system, once pressurized you can see the guage if holding pressure and hear any leaks. Note: Used with workshop comnpressed air. Always pre set the regulator to low before use

How to Use

  1. Unhook turbo out line at turbo or air to air connection.
  2. Unhook hose at air to air outlet or intake.
  3. Select correct size adapters and place in hoses (Fig). Tighten clamp, making sure it is behind the ridge on the adapter.
  4. Turn regulator pressure all the way down. Pull cap out and turn counterclockwise.
  5. Plug air supply line into adapter fitting, making sure the air valve is closed. (Red lever at 90° to input)
  6. Open air valve and adjust regulator to recommended PSI, typically 20-25 PSI . Close air valve. If pressure drops, a spray bottle with water can be used to locate the leak.
  7. Remove air hose and open air valve to release pressure.
  8. Remove regulator from adapter.
  9. Remove adapters and reconnect turbo lines.

Well designed kit. It has many piping size options, regulator and valves to control pressure and flow. The plugs are also design with a web design on the back to ensure they don't collapse when clamping to. I thought that was smart. Recommended!

This multi piece turbo leakage tester kit has an assortment of adapters to fit almost all applications. Components seem to be well made, with no defects. A great tool for diagnosing air leaks in your turbo intake system. Store away nicely with included case.

Never have I ever seen a tool kit like this, but since we have other DPTools used in our shop and we have a bunch of equipment with turbos, and my partner keeps coming back from weekend road trips with dilapidated Datsuns that have turbos, I figured I'd bring this kit in—if for no other reason than to help diagnose mouse damage in the intake plumbing on everything. While the kit uses is own special air fitting for attaching what DPTool calls "stepped adaptor" to the air regulator (see photos) the compressed air fitting is a standard M-type male quick disconnect (and of course the M-type fitting can be swapped out for any other type of air fitting). The stepped adaptors that are are all round are made to get clamped into any round place in the intake where they can be fitted. Then and with the engine not running, the intake can then be pressurized with shop air. Obviously, any valves that are open will allow air to leak into engine cylinders if an intake valve is hanging open, or if the intake and exhaust valves are both open for scavenging, but that is why the tool has its own pressure regulator so a tech can dial in the pressure needed to pressurized the intake system enough for the old soapy bubbles method of leak detection is employed.Basically the tool sort of works like a traditional engine leak detector, but specifically made for helping find intake system leaks. The tool itself appears to be well-made and the case is definitely big enough to be filed away on a shop shelf as the tool would take up way too much tool box space.
