Not much to say its a U-bolt. It went on fine and has been holding up as one would expect.

I noticed one of the u-bolts on my 97 Tahoe had snapped completely and needed replaced. Once I got home from work I began the process of replacing the old ones with the ones I had ordered from amazon. They had to of been the originals because no amount of penetrating oil or heat enabled me to get the nuts loose. I ended up snapping them off with leverage which confirmed that they DEFINITELY needed replaced. My only heads up is to be ready to make some slight modifications to the plate because the diameter of these bolts is exactly the same size as the holes in the plate and if you try to insert them you will ruin the threads on the bolt. I got a dremel and widened the holes ever so slightly and then inserted both bolts to a loosened plate and hand tightened the bolts equally, slowly, while making sure everything lined up properly. Once they were both snug and in place, I used an impact yo snug them up. Dont forget anti-seize in case you need to remove them at a later date. Peace
