My friend recommended this brand. He put the part on my car over a year ago and it's working well.

I installed this product because the mechanic told me that the code indicated it was the problem and he wanted to charge me $1300+ to do it but I did it for a fraction of that cost but guess what, the code came back up🤬

I understand that there were some reviews saying that the part went bad after X number of months, as there was probably a leak in the coolant vacuum pressure. I double checked the seal of the unit and torqued the screws down a little tight but from what I could tell, the part looked fine and operated with precision. The hoses went back on perfectly and the attachment holes were a perfect alignment to the vehicle bolt positions. Easy install.

My 2004 Prius needed a new pump and I found this Dorman for a reasonable price. Well, you get what you pay for. I ordered the first and it did not solve the problem. I requested another and it worked for 2 days and then the code came back up. Sent it back. Not worth the headache.

This is the second time I have replaced this part, both have been this dorman part. Many people are leaving negative reviews stating that the MIL did not go away after replacement or that the codes were still there. Indeed, after replacement, the vehicle will still be showing an error until the code is cleared. If your part did not work and you did clear codes, please let it be known, otherwise, buyers should know that replacement without DTC clear is not going to fix the problem and that is not necessarily indicative of a failed part.My experience is that the replacement part lasted 2 years, where the original part worked for ten years.I did not have any problems with the connector uncoupling.

Exact OEM replacement by after market supplier. Dealer wanted Toyota part $133....I paid $53.95. and then Amazon took off about $22.00 for rewards. What a deal. Got rid of the code fault. Seems to function like new.

Have never written a review on a product, today that changed. I ordered this product on June 19th. I had an error code P1121 (Control Module) on Toyota Prius 2004. Got this product and was in no rush to replace it since car inspection was not for another few months and usually car parts have good warranty/return periods. Finally I recently got around to replacing the part, performed a full coolant flush of the engine, cleared the error code, took a car for a drive and the check engine light came on. Got the error code checked out and “Yep” same error code. Went back to read feedbacks and only then did I realize that the product is just really bad quality, many people are complaining of it just flat out not working. I didn’t buy it so I went ahead and ordered from Amazon genuine same part, replaced it and “TAADA” the code went away!!Went back to check on the return process and here I find out that the part is only warranted for 30 days (There got to be a reason why it's so short)?? This makes no sense whatsoever. I feel cheated. Do yourselves a favor and stay away from this product from this seller. Do yourself a favor and read reviews so you can save money, headache and a lot of wasted time on rework. I'd give zero starts if I could and not one star.
