About this item

  • Reattachable coupling for connecting two hoses in a straight run
  • Connects to hose on one end and female NPT threaded connections on the other
  • Chrome plated brass for ductility at high temperatures, low magnetic permeability, and greater resistance to corrosion than unplated brass
  • Hose is gripped on full circumference in two places
  • Assembled with a wrench (not included)

This Dixon 850 series Holedall two-piece reattachable Dubl-Grip petroleum hose fitting is made of chrome-plated brass and connects pump hose to a female NPT threaded connector. The body has male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads on one end to connect to a female NPT threaded connection and male threads on the other end. The sleeve and the male threaded end hold the hose onto the fitting. Octagonal facets on the body provide a surface for using a wrench to tighten or loosen the fitting. The sleeve and threaded end configuration allow the hose to be replaced without crimping or swaging. The double, full circumference grip on the hose, wide flat threads on the sleeve end, and tapered surfaces of the sleeve and body reduce wear on the hose. This coupling is made of chrome-plated brass for ductility at high temperatures, low magnetic permeability, and greater resistance to corrosion than unplated brass. Dixon Holedall stems and ferrules are specifically designed to be used together as a coupling system. Due to differences in dimensions and tolerances, for safety reasons, do not use other manufacturer's stems or ferrules with Dixon Holedall products. This two-piece reattachable petroleum hose fitting is suitable for fuel transfer applications such as to homes, airplanes, and ships.

Hose fittings connect, control, change the direction of, and terminate the flow in piping and hose systems. They are made of brass, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and other materials that resist corrosion, pressure, and wear. Hose fittings have various types of connections, including threaded, barbed, push-to-connect, dry disconnect, and others including those based on internationally-accepted specifications. Hose fittings are used in systems such as air compressors, automatic manufacturing operations, aircraft controls, and tire installation in industries including agriculture, mining, road construction, firefighting, and aviation.

Dixon Valve & Coupling Company manufactures pipe and hose fittings and accessories. The company, founded in 1916, is headquartered in Chestertown, MD.
