This simple capacitance meter works very well. Prior to this I had bought another more complicated multi meter and was never able to get it to work for my purposes. This one did work...I have been wanting to measure the capacitance of RCA cables for some time now...I think I am getting some pretty accurate readings with this devise. The readings would come up pretty consisted in multiple tries, and also the readings were very close to the advertised ratings of some cables that list that type of spec on line. You do get a residual capacitance that can differ quite a bit, depending on the surface material you place the meter and cables on, temperature, and other factors...but what I found is that if you deduct the residual capacitance each time your readings come out pretty consistent.
