I installed this on my truck and it would not start. I put the old relay in and the truck starts.

I installed June25th; several engine NEW codes came up, could clear them but every time I started the truck, those same codes came back; and those new codes differ from the other control module. When the truck is shut off, ignition off, drains the battery in 40 minutes. I took out June30th, installed old one, which also is an after-market, it show different codes, but battery does NOT die.Obviously, I still need a new `Glow Plug Control Module` I am NOT going to try another after-market, I am going to order a `Motorcraft`that is a `Ford trademark` I think that should a better product, we`ll see.

The unit is a direct replacement for the OEM part and installed without issue. However, my unit failed within 90 days. The seller honored the warranty and refunded my money in a timely manner.

Found out this item was defective from time I installed it. It posted a P0683 & P0684. Wasn’t till I moved to a colder climate that I confirmed it was a DOA part. My truck would not start in 40* weather without it being plugged in for the block heater. After I reinstalled my old my truck was starting in 20*+ weather no problems. I’m thankful I kept my old Glow Plug Control Module!

Had glow plug codes on both sides. Checked glow plugs for resistance while swapping injectors and they checked out good, around 0.8-1.2 ohms. Replaced glow plug harnesses on both sides, still codes. Replaced glow plug module with this one, no more codes. Direct fit.Edit: This lasted a few months before I started getting codes again. Hard start in the winter. 1,2,3,7, and 8 glow plug codes. Going with Motorcraft this time.
