Ease of use. Makes great coffee. Espresso feature requires real muscle to lock the espresso filter in place. Be sure to run an unloaded espresso holder through the machine from time to time, and also run the frothing feature once a week or so. Descaling is really easy, so long as you use the ON LINE instructions. The pamphlet that comes with the machine is INCORRECT. To start the descaling process, press the BOLD button and not the COFFEE button. Drove me nuts trying to follow the pamphlet.Other than that glitch, unless you wish to spend 2300 bucks for a high end machine, the DeLonghi is the answer. I use it every morning. Don't go cheap on the bean grinder you'll need to buy. I got the OXO Brew Conical Burr Coffee Grinder , Silver, and it is robust.

Space to out cup under portafilter too small. Milk brother not long enough barely works. Espresso either too fast or too slow no matter the geind setting. Grind setting too sensitive. Barely grind fine and it completely clogs nothing comes out. All feels cheap plastic very light weight. Not 250 dollars worth of machine. Drip tray under espresso fills with every use and needs to be emptied. It is very loud. Looks and feels cheap.

I am so far, very happy to say I am very happy to have this new machine!1. Received it Feb 27th, 2023. Earlier than expected delivery date. Started using the morning of Feb 28th.2. It was not a repackaged used machine that slipped through the cracks like it appeared to have in so many of the recent comments!!!!! Thinking wherever those people are that got a repackaged used machine, must be serviced by an Amazon facility that has employees that don't care!!! To them, if they read this, always let Amazon know!!!3. I drink MEDAGLIA D'ORO, which is Espresso Italian Roast ground coffee. For that, cannot use the screen filter that comes with the machine. Need to use the #4 filters which fit perfectly.4. Have not tried the Espresso side yet, but performing the initial setup per the instructions, everything worked beautifully and easily. There were no leaks.5. I place the machine on two layers of paper towels (4 sheets, folded in half) which fit the footprint of the machine almost perfectly. In other words, the footprint on the machine fits inside 2 sheets of Bounty paper towels.USING THE COFFFEE SIDE:One of the first things I noticed is the design of the Carafe. Either it needs an improved design, or the current design is to prevent any coffee grind sludge, that made it down from the drip, from pouring into your coffee cup/mug/tumbler. There is about a teaspoon or less, that cannot be poured out.I use the Bold enabled button and seems to work well for boosting the flavor of the coffee. The touch buttons are a nice touch... no brute force needed for turning any knobs or pressing actual buttons... fewer moving parts means fewer mechanical failures.I set the clock on the machine on Thursday, March 2nd, and today, March 4th, I noticed it was a minute behind already. Not a real bad thing, as it is easier to set the clock forward a few minutes due to it being slightly slow, than resetting the time back because it runs to fast.As for the filter and the reservoir for the coffee side, I wish the reservoir was removable like it is for the espresso side. Making it easier to clean than. And as for the filter, I'll need to try and keep track of when that needs to be changed. Meaning have to set some reminder someplace "Check coffee reservoir filter to replace", gee... as if there aren't enough other reminders in life to list and keep track of!!! LOLI have not changed the default time for the warmer to turn off, as I am turning off the machine after the coffee is done dripping.OH... something I didn't see mentioned is... The machine has a BEEP (not loud) when done with the dripping. That is a nice touch if you are still in proximity to the machine. I like that as a reminder!!!That's it for now... will update later if and when I remember to.

UPDATE 2: DeLonghi was not helpful with my defective machine that turns out is still under warranty by a month, demanding a "video" of the internal leakage problem. I CAN CONFIDENTLY AND FIRMLY SAY DO NOT BUY THIS!!! COMPLETE CHINA GARBAGE THAT COULD WATER DAMAGE YOUR KITCHEN.UPDATE 1: The design is defective, the boil pot leaks water from behind the plastic wall behind the espresso area, and constantly leaves a mess. Not worth the hassle, I wish I had known this because I thought it was just excessive drips of leftover water. THE DESIGN IS DEFECTIVE, this is a KNOWN PROBLEM. You could ruin your cabinets / furniture / kitchen walls because the water pools underneath the machine invisibly.ORIGINAL REVIEW AFTER A MONTH:I am writing this knowing it is a low priced espresso machine and not expecting much.Recently I had the choice of spending the cost of this machine to repair a Breville Barista (also chinese made) which was 6 years old or selling the broken Barista used and get nearly enough to buy this one.I can say after a few months the machine is acceptable. The brewed coffee side is quite good actually. For espresso, it is passable. The first annoying feature is that the porafilter is aluminum or mystery metal and has rubber rings in it which the coffee touches. This creates a very unsteady and "lightweight" feeling which should be a heavy handle. The next problem is that you need to run a LOT of water through the thing without coffee to heat it up or you will have a stone cold espresso on the first shot. The portafilter is extremely tight and hard to fit at first but this solves itself after 20 or 30 shots. All that being said, it makes an ok espresso at home. You have to understand that a proper home espresso machine is around $2000 and up now, and the Breville I sold is not more than 20% better than this machine. So given my budget and situation at the moment, this is acceptable. 3.5 stars would be ok but it isnt good enough for 4. 3 sound low but everyone overrates everything.

UPDATED REVIEW: I read a lot of reviews to make sure I was buying a good machine.I have had it for 3 weeks now and love it!! The espresso turns out great, the frother works good and the coffee is always good. I love how easy it is to fill with water and fill with coffee grounds. It uses reusable filters!!The only downside is that it only brews 10 cups... sometimes it's nice to have 12.The tamper is plastic, but I think it still does the job great.Cups are not included!!!***I’ve had the machine for 3 months now and it has gotten progressively louder and slower to brew coffee. It used to be next to silent and now it legitimately sounds like banging and cracking when it’s brewing.... I wonder if this is a warranty problem
