- #25 in Internal Computer Networking Cards
A UPS monitoring card, the CyberPower RCCARD100 monitors the operation of select CyberPower UPS that are setup with PowerPanel Cloud system. A secure web portal or mobile application is used to remotely monitor a UPS and provide notifications on power events. The RCCARD100 is a hot swappable plug-and-play design, allowing fast installation, or replacement without interrupting the operation of the UPS. A RJ-45 Ethernet connection is used to connect the card to a network and PowerPanel Cloud. The card supports user-upgradeable firmware to keep functionality up to date. The RCCARD100 comes with a three-year warranty

Card set up was ok, did not realize they send you an email to verify your email acct. Had to replay to that to activate the acct. All fine. Added my UPS and come to find IT WORKS FOR 90 days then they want to charge you to use the product ! It will go back.

One can't connect to this card on a local network. The card must be connected to the internet and it can only be accessed by PowerPanel Cloud App in order to do its job. Not only this is a security issue, but the PowerPanel Cloud is a paid subscription. Will return it because, for me, it's useless. What a disappointment...

Works as expected. Provides the connectivity needed for the PowerPanel Cloud App.

This card relies on a subscription service, so charging $60+ for it feels a bit exploitative. Build it into the UPS. It also seems kind of limited in capabilities.I was initially thrown by the short trial period given, but customer support assured me that after the trial period has elapsed, the longer lasting free plan will kick in.

Being hot swappable made this a no brainer. It took less than 5 minutes and the USB was showing in the app.

Depends on the cloud, must be connected to the internet to work. sure its "free for 3 years" but if you want to shutdown your network devices when the power is out, you have to have a working internet connection!

A UPS is only as good as the battery. This allows me to automatically get alerts on events, warnings, battery charge and battery health. Batteries need replaced every 3 years or so and this will keep me advised. Easy to install but give yourself a bit to configure and get web link & smartphone app running. Of course bit pricey, but this is not likely a high volume item. I appreciate the peace-of-mind.

From a technical perspective, this clearly adds network capability to your UPS. You can go to your UPS's IP and see a debug output, but you have to download a poorly made app (that looks like it was developed by iOS interns in 2011) You have to install and run this app to actually see the status of your device. So your UPS has to always talk to the external world for the most basic status updates. It does prompt you for a 90-day trial, but one of the "interns" decided to present a hacky way of making it free by giving you a few thousand days for free once you open the app again. God knows the security holes you could be opening up into your network by adding this device because it's a cloud monitor. My recommendation is to stay away or get the more expensive card for local monitoring via SNMP. The only reason I went with CyberPower was my space limitations in my rack. I'm extremely unimpressed with the quality of their software.

I ordered the wired version but received the wireless model (RWCCARD100). I decided it use it rather than deal with an exchange. It installed in an OR500LCDRM1U without issue. Adding it to WiFi was fairly easy following prompts on the "PowerPanel Cloud" app. You can monitor the cloud connected UPS via the app or a web browser. My company has a lot of APC Smart-Connect UPS deployed. CyberPower's cloud platform provides 3 years of monitoring vs APC's 2(?). I also prefer CyberPower's cloud console layout as most information is much easier to pull up. APC's interface requires a lot of clicking around. This is the first CyberPower cloud connected UPS we've worked with and are impressed so far.

not worth the near $90 for a card that will then require a paid subscription.returning the item today

I purchased this thanking it allowed set up and configuration of the Cyberpower UPS. It does not. It allows you to check status only. It does not notify you in the event of power outage. Set up can only be performed with the included USB cable and a PC. The card is hot-swappable so no need to power down.
