The quality of this product could be better. They have worked well for the most part, but they do twist over time

I had a hollow security screw that snapped on my scooter brake caliper. I was able to hammer the small flute in and extract it with ease. Life saver!

Performed better than advertised. Used them to remove small engine spark plug that had broken off in the cylinder head. Tapped in the correct size and used a crescent wrench to twist and remove the remaining part. Would definitely recommend!

My girlfriend had a problem with her car - knocking. Upon inspection I've noticed that coil just flew out when the engine was started. And I've never seen that before. I was thinking that's it - scrap car or big job like head replacement...After doing some research later found out that this might work and gave it a go for £13.I used penetrative lube as well - just in case. The biggest bit helped me out to take it out (not without a little struggle).I have used long 3/8 extension backwards with adjustable wrench as I couldn't put an adjustable on it due to lack of space.Did not break after some good taps so quality is pretty solid. All job from start to finish took 1hr with cleaning near spark plugs to make sure debris doesn't get inside the bore. Easiest fix in my life.

I have had better results with the straight fluted extractors like these then the spiral fluted designs. I just wish they cam with the next size bigger and were not square. It if were a 6 flute design then you could use a normal socket on them to get more leverage.

Spark plug snapped off leaving the ceramic inside which is worst case scenario. I used a very fine chisel to chip away the ceramic down by 10mm to allow the easy out to get into the plug. I used blue tack on the end of the chisel to remove the broken ceramic pieces. Once this was done I taped the 3/8 (largest one) easy out to a 3/8 extension and tapped in as deep as possible into plug. Used an adjustable spanner on the top of the extension to slowly turn. Big relief after removing plug in tact and nothing inside cylinder. Excellent tool set.

Highly recommend this if you are having an issue with stuck spark plug threads. I tapped the 3/8" one down into the cylinder head where my spark plug threads were seized....BADLY. The spark plug was so seized the jam nut broke clean off of the threads. I used a Lisle 65700 porcelain puller to get the porcelain out of the way (came out in one piece, thank GOD), I was initially trying with little success a 6-point socket to turn the 3/8 easy-out but it kept jumping inside the socket. I ordered a pipe plug socket kit with a 3/8 female to get a good hold and it worked like a charm. This is the kit I ordered -MIXPOWER 11 Pieces 3/8-inch Drive Pipe Plug Socket Set,I most definitely put around 150-175ft lbs of torque on this, and it didn't break.10/10 would buy again.

I bought these because I read some guys online saying they are worth buying for stuck bolts. I was redoing my knock sensors today and the front one was spinning inside itself. I drilled holes in the sensor and it would still not come out. Smacked it with a hammer a few times and it broke lose except it kept spinning. I then pulled on it with needle nose pliers and it snapped off flush with the post. I had a small panic attack. The sensor I was replacing is quite vital and I spent 4 hours trying to get that damn thing out. Then I remembered I bought these fluted extractors. So I drilled a big hole down the post being sure to avoid the threads. Then I took out of these bits and smacked it down into the hole with a 5lbs mallet. Took my adjustable wrench and I applied a good amount of leverage and managed to back the mother effer out of the hole!!! These are probably one of the best tool investments I have ever made.

I purchased this extractor set even though I was skeptical of the grade quality of steel at the low price. This set is suitable for removing broken pipe, brass, and soft metal fittings. If using to remove a grade 8 bolt from steel, make sure you soak the broken bolt with PB Blaster or Marvel Mystery Oil first.I used the set to remove 2 broken torque converter bolts w/o issue. I mainly bought the set for the smaller extractor to remove limiters from EPA compliant small engine carburetors so I could adjust the carb screws instead of replacing the entire carburetor.Keep in mind, what you pay for this set is usually what one good quality, hard metal extractor would cost. Regardless of quality, a square extractor is the best choice.
