A huge step up from the Corsair Virtuoso RGB...the Virtuoso Max really upgrade on a already fantastic design. The headset is more comfortable then the previous design and the sound improvement is substantial. The ear pieces also seem to be of sturdy build then the original Virtuoso RGB(which will always hold a special place in my heart).

This review is for the Corsair Virtuoso MAX.These headphones were used in comparison to the Asus ROG Delta II at the time of writing this review, you may check out the other review through my profile.The Corsair Virtuoso MAX have decent audio but not great. With or without Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), the audio was just good enough, at default equalization. The treble was soft and not the best, & the bass was loud & uncomfortable even at lower volumes. However, the Active Noise Cancellation makes up for the very mild loss in audio quality, with no doubt. In the tests done with these headphones, it quiets outside noise well enough but not completely, & the audio comes through clear & understandable. You can adjust your treble & bass through Corsair software to your needs.The microphone was put through several different VoIP applications, including feedback. It is loud & quite clear, not muffled at all. It also seemingly comes with it's own noise cancellation as it blocks out outside distractions even better than the audio portion of the headset could. Users listening to this microphone described it as being perfect & way better than an Razer Kraken 7.1 Surround Sound's microphone & the mentioned Asus headphones above. These Corsair headphones also can be used with other devices except for 3.5mm. Was not able to test USB-C to 3.5mm conversion possibility nor USB-C to USB-C possibility.In conclusion, the headphones are compatible with a multitude of modern devices through 2.4Ghz with computers, & Bluetooth with mobile & console. However USB-C & 3.5mm is uncertain in this review. The audio is acceptable with mildly uncomfortable bass at default equalizer, but becomes comfortable when the volume is lowered at the slight cost of audible treble. The microphone is way better than expected, especially in terminology of gaming headphones as most gaming headphones have subpar microphones, but this one does not as the microphone with the Corsair Virtuoso MAX sounds pretty great. The Active Noise Cancellation is a huge bonus. And these headphones are mostly made of metal, with hints of other materials, which makes them 'seemingly' durable.The verdict is, buy these headphones in mind that you are getting good audio, good Active Noise Cancellation, a great microphone, & good device compatibility, & 'possibly' great durability.

Mit diesem Headset sind alle aktuellen Features verbaut, die aktuell zu bekommen sind: Geräusche können komplett verhindert werden, Active Noise Cancelling oder gar ganz offen. Sehr gut! Das habe ich am Vorgänger alles vermisst, und ist nun in diesem Modell verfügbar.Head Set ist einfach zu tragen: Bequem und individuell einstellbar. Das Material ist robust und metallisch stabil. Man hat nicht das Gefühl, dass das Billigware ist. Die Ohrpolster sind individuell zu beurteilen: die Polster vom Vorgängermodell waren für mich angenehmer, aber trotzdem gut und nicht störend bei langem Tragen.Der Sound: umwerfend immersive... wie beworben. Mit Dolby Atmos und dann noch ein Spiel, das dieses unterstützt ist das ein Erlebnis. Ich habe das so noch nie empfinden können. Geräusche, die ich vorher nie wahrgenommen habe, sind nun für mich deutlich hörbar. Aber auch hier ist die Beurteilung sehr subjektiv durchzuführen. Fakt ist aber, dass für Spiele und Software wie Discord, mit Dolby Atmos und Zertifizierung das ein perfektes Headset ist.Die Laufzeit der Batterien ist mit 20 Stunden eher illusorisch, aber die Aufladung sehr schnell. Ich hatte daher noch nie ein Problem: in Pausen die Aufladung für 15 Minuten durchführen hat mich nie in Bedrängnis gebracht.Micro und Stimme sind angenehm und qualitativ gut. Hatte keine "Beschwerden" erhalten :-) von meinen Mithörern.Die Steuerung rechts einfach: vor und zurück und Profil Wahl (Geräuschunterdrückung, 3 Profile).Die Steuerung links (an dieser Seite ist das Micro angebracht): ein Schalter 3-stufig: Aus, WLAN (Dongle), Bluetooth. Dies ist, so finde ich, nicht so gut gelungen. Der Aus-Ein Schalter sollte getrennt von den Funktionen WLAN und Bluetooth sein. Ich muss immer überlegen, und auch darauf schauen, in welche Richtung ich den Schalter bewegen muss, um die Kopfhörer auszuschalten. Stummschaltung am Microfon (elastischer und stabiler Arm) ist super u. genau richtig platziert. Bei Stummschaltung wird das am Microfon Kopf rot angezeigt.Links ist am Kopfhörer die Lautstärke, steuerbar durch einen grossen Ring, einfach und mit etwas Widerstand beim Drehen versehen. Das ist gut: es verstellt sich beim Hantieren mit dem Headset nicht. Sehr gut durchdacht! Auch die weiteren Funktionen, wie die benutzerdef. Taste sollte im Manual angeschaut werden, da man hier eine nützliche Funktionen hinterlegen kann. Der rechte Ring am rechten Kopfhörer ist der Multifunktionsring: dieser kann für die Verwendung der Lautstärke des verbunden Bluetooth Gerätes, z.B. Handy, in der iCue Software konfiguriert werden. Somit kann die Lautstärke mit dem linken Ring am PC, und am rechten Ring das gleichzeitig verbundene Handy, gesteuert werden. Cool, wenn beide Verbindungen vorhanden sind: ich verpasse damit keine Anruf oder Message :-)Hier ganz wichtig zu erwähnen: die Konfiguration mit der iCue Software ist unumgänglich. Die Tasten- / Ringezuweisung macht man dort; Ganz neu ist auch, dass diese Profile auch auf dem Gerät speicherbar sind, so dass bei "Software Ausfall" das Gerät funktioniert, wie gewohnt. Das ist eine sehr wichtige Sache meiner Meinung nach.Zum Schluss: das Gewicht ist gut ausbalanciert. Nicht zu schwer und auch stundenlanges Tragen ist bei korrekte Einstellung auf die Kopfgrösse kein Problem.Ein gelungenes Produkt, das seinen Preis rechtfertigt!

Background: I upgraded from a pair of Alienware AW510H 510H Wired 7.1 Gaming Headset USB, which retailed for around $99.99. So that gives you some idea what I'm comparing these to. My previous headphones never impressed me, and the sound was always subpar.Experience: When I got these and first loaded the ICUE app, I thought I had made a mistake. I thought the UI was bad. It took me about 15-20 minutes to get comfortable with it, but by the end of the day, I kind of sort of liked it.Pros:The headphones are not as bulky as my old wired Alienware headphones. They fit quite comfortably on my extra large head (24.75")The microphone sounds great.The sound quality when playing music is fantastic.They feel like they are of much higher quality than what I had before. At least 3x better, so worth it.Battery life is great, Fully charged they'll last, and if you need to you can charge them while wearing them by just using the USB charger.Cons:Options for replacement earpads is limited due to the different mounting system. So if you want different colors, or maybe thicker options, you're not going to find them on the market.Conclusion: Overall, I'm very much impressed with these headphones. They have significantly better sound quality and build compared to my previous ones. What can I say? I think it was worth it.

I was using this headset for about 3 days. Initially they sounded very dull but after EQ tinkering I was able to achieve great sound quality. However, the underside of the headband did not feel comfortable after wearing the headset for 30 min or more. discomfort did not went away after a few days which resulted that I had to return this headset.

Recibimos una caja grandota y chula, de diseño molón que ya llama bastante la atención. Especialmente por la mezcla de color negro con el "accent" del típico amarillo de Corsair. Eso sí, esta caja no es más grande que la propia funda de los auriculares, ya que por dentro no deja margen a nada más. Tenemos un par de folletos que no miraremos (los típicos de obligación legal) y un código QR que nos lleva a un manual de instrucciones online.La funda es bastante tocha, ya que los auriculares no son plegables. Se pueden girar los drivers para ponerlos aplanados, pero nada más. Reconozco que al abrir la funda no pude evitar soltar un "¡WOW!" ante el look de estos auriculares, se ven espectaculares de verdad. Y ya sacados de la funda lo confirmo: tanto en diseño como en materiales, son absolutamente premium. Mezclan partes de aluminio con ABS y polipiel. Todo en un predominante aluminio vista con buenos detalles mecanizados, que destaca sobre el negro de almohadillas y drivers.Las drivers de 50mm, son muy grandotes. Me cabe la oreja perfectamente dentro y sin tocar ninguna espuma. De hecho las espumas se apoyan básicamente en la cabeza, dejando así libre de presión alguna las orejas (algo totalmente de agradecer en sesiones largas de llevarlos puestos). También puedo añadir que se llevan cómodamente con gafas, al menos en mi caso no se me clavan las patillas.Las orejeras tienen unas espumas bien peculiares, ya que no son simétricas. En muchos auriculares el círculo es igual de grueso en todo el contorno, pero estas espumas son más gruesas por abajo que por arriba. Esto hace que se ajusten mejor a la cabeza. Eso sí, a mi gusto creo que les faltaría un poquito más de acolchado, se siente un poco de dureza, pero todo es cuestión de costumbre.Hay que puntualizar que no son unos auriculares ligeros (debido a la elección del aluminio, principalmente), pero aún y así considero que son cómodos de llevar gracias a su agarre a la cabeza, que evita que se desplacen o decaigan aunque movamos la cabeza.INSTALACIÓN Y PRIMER USOTenemos una serie de controles en cada auricular para funciones multimedia y los básicos del día a día.En la orejera izquierda, todo el anillo metálico texturizado es un control de volumen. Desde ahí podemos regular el volumen en tramos de 2 puntos (en Windows), y se siente muy cómodo y natural hacerlo de esta manera. También tenemos un slider para alternar entre apagarlos, y cambiar entre conexión wireless o por bluetooth. Ahí mismo tenemos el conector del micrófono por USB-C, el cual podemos desconectar físicamente si no tenemos previsto usarlo. Hablando del micrófono, es todo flexible y tiene un led indicador en la punta para saber fácilmente si está grabando, o no. Tiene botón físico para activar o desactivar.En a orejera derecha el anillo es para moverse entre funciones, o regular el volumen del dispositivo BT. Luego tenemos un combo de slider y botón, para avanzar/retroceder entre canciones, y para play/pause. También tenemos el botón personalizado, el cual por defecto sirve para alternar entre los modos ANC y el modo Transparencia.Lo primero que debemos hacer para empezar, es bajar el software de Corsair "iCue", que básicamente es su aplicación para gestionar todo el aspecto de iluminación RGB y configurar periféricos. Una vez instalado, me ha pedido reiniciar el PC. Y luego de detectar los auriculares en el siguiente inicio, ha pedido reiniciar otra vez … un poco molesta esta dinámica de tanto reinicio, pero bueno. Y para acabar, una actualización day one del firmware de los auriculares, que por suerte ha sido rápida. En lo que va de tiempo que los tengo, ha habido 2 actualizaciones más, eso significa que Corsair no los tiene precisamente dejados de lado 👍A parte del aspecto de la monitorización del PC, gestión RGB y demás, iCue permite configurar los auriculares a nuestra medida, pudiendo toquetear todo tipo de balance y ecualización, configuración RGB, ganancia de micrófono, etc … . Pero quisiera destacar la función SoundID. Esto en el fondo es una cata a ciegas de sonido, para analizar las frecuencias que eres capaz de escuchar y cómo las escuchas. Finalmente te hace elegir entre varias pistas de sonido e ir eligiendo si prefieres la "A o B" según tu gusto. En base a lo que hayas dicho, te parametrizará una ecualización específica a tu oído y gusto, creo que está muy bien para no ir con ideas preconcebidas de "debo ecualizarlos así". Y efectivamente luego viendo la ecualización que ha sacado de mi cata, puedo confirmar que es realmente como me gusta a mí que suenen los videojuegos y pelis (yo soy de sonido Americano: espectacular, exagerado y algo cansino 😂)Los auriculares son compatibles con Dolby Atmos y activan automáticamente Dolby Atmos para auriculares cuando se conectan a un PC con Windows 10/11 o Xbox One. Aunque para ello deberemos bajarnos la app "Dolby Access" de la store de Microsoft para poder disfrutar de la experiencia. Esperaba que tendría que comprar una licencia (es una funcionalidad de pago en Windows), pero parece que cuando la app de Dolby detecta estos auriculares en concreto, automáticamente te registra una 🥳PRUEBASPara probar el audio posicional, el primer juego que se me ha ocurrido poner ha sido Forza Horizon 5 ya que quería notar bien el rugir de los motores 😁. A parte de una claridad impresionante en todos los sonidos, he notado mucho el audio posicional jugando con la vista de la cámara interior. Desde ahí puedes notar el motor delante, y cómo pasan las piedras del camino por debajo del coche y salen en la parte trasera, flipo muy fuerte. Al apreciar tan claramente las ubicación de las fuentes de sonido, he hecho otra prueba: dejar el coche tirado en algún sitio relativamente cercano al Horizon Festival y en cualquier posición. Ha sido facilísimo conducir con los ojos cerrados (de verdad) hasta el festival. Evidentemente chocando con todo, pero he podido posicionar la fuente de sonido sin lugar a dudas y dirigirme hasta ahí 👍También le he dado buen vicio a Cyberpunk, otro juego certificado con Dolby Atmos. Es una gozada poder ubicar los enemigos en el espacio y saber por dónde te vienen los tiros. Notar que tienes un enemigo detrás a la izquierda, sin tan siquiera verlo, es una ventaja competitiva MUY interesante.Eso sí, todo se aprecia tan natural y tan real, que rápidamente deja de sorprender … ya que es cómo lo escucharías de verdad jajaja.Oh y por si alguien se lo pregunta, la conexión por RF de estos auriculares tiene un lag de 1ms, por lo que es imperceptible. Es imposible notar diferencia entre un auricular cableado y estos. La conexión por BT la he testeado con mi teléfono, y la verdad es que también son perfectamente buenos para escuchar música y ver pelis 😁. Aunque BT tiene un retraso considerable en la recepción de sonido, no recomendaría tirar por ahí para juegos.También he probado los Virtuoso MAX en PS5 y sin problema alguno, en el momento en que enchufas el pincho ya te detecta todo y te redirige la salida de sonido por los auriculares, perfecto desde el momento 1.CONCLUSIÓNExcelentes en sonido, premium en acabados, y versátiles con su alta compatibilidad con PC y consolas. Los dos únicos pequeños contras que podría mencionar, son tema del peso y a lo mejor el acolchado de los drivers, pero creo que todo es cuestión de acostumbrarse a ello, no es nada dramático o que vaya a empañar la puntuación del set (a no ser que para vosotros sean factores críticos).Ya para terminar, quiero mencionar que el servicio de asistencia técnica de Corsair es de puro 10. Perdí el pincho USB durante las primeras semanas de tener los auriculares (soy un desastre), solicité uno nuevo, y en menos de 1 semana ya tenía en casa otro pincho nuevo 👌5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ sin concesiones para los Corsair Virtuoso MAX, no os arrepentiréis de nada.

They do everything you'd expect. I went with these over the arctis nova pro due to a side by side comparison. The stats overall are better. Don't pay attention to the complaints people have about these headphones. They are comfortable. I do have to take them off in between games due to them being tight on my head but that is a physical problem of my own and not the fault of the headset. Yes they're expensive but they work very well. Treat yourself.

You can tell where every sound comes from. Super fancy, you turn the volume with the whole circles. Only thing I don’t like is they’re heavy on your head

Corsair can't make comfortable ear pads for their headphones. After about an hour of wearing the headset your ears will hurt. Especially if you have glasses like I do. The mic sidetone is broken. Every time I turn the side tone on all I hear is loud buzzing. After using the headset for more than a few hours the right side starts making clicking noises. Yesterday while in game the right headphone cut out something like 90% of its volume. I had to restart the headset and this issue went away. Seems like a driver fix but good luck updating anything on corsair's icue software. Every time you try to update the headset it fails. Overall it's a good headset, but there's a lot of driver/ software issues with it right now and it's really buggy. Plus the comfort is a 1/10 with these terrible ear cups. Wait for driver updates and for someone to start selling a better aftermarket set of ear cups. This has the same problems the virtuoso rgb/xt headsets had at launch.
