Works great, and looks good. Price is a little high for a literal piece of cork.

Got this because I got a lot of pets and the rubber mat collects fur easily. The cork has a bit of pieces that you should dust off before setting it down, but it works great. Much less sticks to the mat, and the sound quality is more crisp.

Product looked great sounded perfect on my cheap record I had thrown on it to test it and did notice many improvements like less slipping and less vibrations along with some bass improvements. And now there isn't as much static as there was when I got it. But when I flipped my record over, lots of loud crackles and pops that weren't present before appeared. Then I noticed the mat came shipped with some sort of debris on it. It's okay and can still be saved. Just wash with warm soapy water and a soft sponge or your hands and allow it to fully air dry. Then you may play vinyl safely on it. :)

It seems so simple. Why not update the original mat that came with this 1984 Pioneer PL-400, and hey, why not go with something that is also “anti-static” even though there has NEVER been any obvious static issues on it in this space EVER. So pull of the old plastic/rubber mat, throw it away, wipe off the excess 40 year old glue/grease on the steel turntable and put on the new “anti-static” cork platter...... and of course on the 2nd record played the cork mat sticks to it completely and has to be pried off from the amount of static, SURPRISE! (Will update with further testing before sending back!)Update: 2 more days of try out - no other disc lifted the cork mat off again , so hopefully the static was with that specific record which has arrived in the Mail. Will update after a few more days....

This is a good quality "technics clone" mat but there is a large "pro spin" branding that is not shown in the pictures or description. I was expecting to have an all black mat to keep the original factory look of the turntable.

I used to have a regular felt mat, and I read that those need to get replaced asap with something else. I was down to a cork mat, acrylic mat, and leather mat. If you want something for your rock, get acrylic, if you want more bass, get leather, if you want something that does it all decently well and don't want to be switching out mats like a mad man, then get this cork mat here. To date, I've probably played over 50 different albums, totaling maybe over 100 spins, and not once did this mat disappoint. I have not gone back to the felt, and I am not interested in the other options out there. The cork is a bit flakey at the beginning, might want to give it a gentle wipe-down and shake before setting music, and make sure to clean your records before you play them regardless.

Looks nice on the turntable, if you like cork. I dont have anything coming close to a hifi/audiophile system so I cant really speak to the sonic qualities, or how it compares to other slip mat materials. The quality of the cork looks good, so I assume it's as good as any other cork mat on the market.

I wanted to replace the felt mat that came with my mid/high-end turntable. The manufacturer's cork mat was considerably more expensive, and I can't believe it would be noticeably better. This mat is excellent quality - not flimsy/too thin. The central spindle of the turntable fit perfectly - not loose, nice and snug but not too small. I'm not certain the cork makes a huge difference over felt, but I believe it IS better in terms of not allowing/holding the buildup of static charge and also in terms of holding dust that can be transferred to the vinyl. I'd highly recommend this brand for quality and price.

This is a great product at a great price...The whole is centered well made with a recess for your record label. The recess also helps to modify horizontal standing waves that might occur with in the mat/ record combo..... A light weight record clamp is also recommend...Everyone should at least try a cork mat on their turntable...Don't worry too much about VTA if you think the mat is too thick... the effect is slight and also it may actually improve your VTA angle depending on what cartridge you use......The ideal VTA angle is about 92 to 96 degrees for most stylus and so the arm angle is not whats important but how the needle actually sits in the grove...You can check this angle with a powerful magnifying glass and a flash light...I have found that cork is a really good material for Turntable mats not too hard and not too soft. It also have excellent vibration absorption qualities. In most cases it does not slip or slide and so helps improve speed stability. For many setups you will have the right amount of damping without being overly aggressive...depending on what cartridge you use and how that interacts with your platter.....I have tried and own many mats, Leather; a Cork/Rubber-combo mat; a Neoprene/ Sorbothane type rubber mat; felt etc.. I have also made some of my mats DIY...I have a Pro-Ject The Classic Turntable and Ortofon Bronze cartridge...Right now my ideal set up is a thin rubberized shelf liner mat toped with a cork mat, I am finding this combo to give me the best damping/ feedback response of anything I have tried in my system, Your results may differ but the coefficients for cork in general are excellent.
