I have run every mic on a rig that gets a ton of vibration and bouncing around running offroad through quarries and jobsites - these hold up better than any Astatic I have ever owned. All mics fail at some point - I suspend mine with an elastic bungee from the cab ceiling hooked into the cord about 8 inches from the mic. Do that with an Astatic it won't last 3 months. I get years out of these.

Nice microphone, a distinctive tone good 5/5 reports but .....microphone is not got the same as the original one feels lighter cheaper but ..still good microphone

again its a great mic for the price, but with graphite contacts it doesnt take long before it goes bad. that being said. you will get out and you will be heard in a pinch
