This works fantastic. I do wish there was a hook or a place to put a hook. I ended yp tying the cord around a pole to suspend it. Remote has a pretty good range. Works from inside a house at least 50 ft away. Very easy to understand use.

This works great for my turtle tank as it is all in one and I don’t have to worry about getting a light fixture. I can hang this from the tank which is perfect for my setup. It produces great heat and light for my turtle and can set on a timer and not have to worry about forgetting it.

I like this heater a lot. I like how it screws in line a light bulb - I can leave the jack in place and remove the unit until next time. I line the little fan that directs the heat as air flow rather than just radiance. The heat levels are good for a variety of conditions - they were more than adequate for my small chicken coop in very cold weather. The timer is nice, but tgg he ere is also bc an always on option. A light is selectable if c desired. All around, for the money, very pleased with this product. Chickens were happy with it and spent all day under it during the cold snap.

I never even knew these existed and I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I ordered this, but I absolutely LOVE this as opposed to using a heat lamp. The safety features alone opposed to using a traditional heating lamp makes this well worth the money. Being able to choose from three different levels of heat and intensity of the light AND having control of the fan for forced heated air, this is more like small indoor space heater, only for animals. I do see some reviews people complaining it does not get "hot." It's not supposed to get "hot." This is just the right temp not to fry your baby chicks. This is great for anyone raising hens at home, small chicken coops, dog/cat houses, reptile tanks etc. You don't want heat so intense that chicks can't get away from the heat. You want them to have the option of being warm and being able to get away from the heat.Cons: Since this only comes with the option of setting a timer from 3-12 hours, you can NOT set this unit up to come on interval times daily (like dawn to dusk or 4am-8pm). You can't use this with any kind of plug in timer or smart home device as the buttons have to be manually pressed for settings and times to come on. Heat lamp does not come with a remote control. Cord is 3 feet long. No way to change bulbs if they burn out.Overall, this is a pretty good purchase. Great for indoor setups as it would be a pain to have to walk outdoors to have to turn on every time. Must have for chicks as safer alternative to heat lamps. No risk of overheating chicks. Would purchase again!

Unfortunately, on the highest heat setting, I can put my hand directly over the heat source without it feeling hot. It just feels warm. This is pretty disappointing as it’s getting very cold tonight and I was hoping to use it for stray animals. It seems this is really only good as a lamp, not a heat source. The timer and lamp seem to work fine.

Bought this for my new greenhouse. I have been using it for about 4 days now and I am very pleased so far. There are multiple light, heat, and timer settings. I set the timer at night for 12 hours so that it warms through the morning. I only wish is that it had wi-fi setting so I can set it remotely. If it had that I give it 5 rather than 4 stars. Price is good, I recommend it.

This little heater is AMAZING! It’s 16 degrees outside and my cat’s shelter is 60 degrees inside! I live in western NC where temps can get very low. My outdoor cats are loving this heater. I used an extra large metal (wire) dog crate, zip-tied a small wire cat ladder (from a spare cat cage) to make a corner wire shelf for the heater to sit on at back of the cage. I hung the heater to rest on the wire shelf from the top of the cage (hung about 10” from the top), wrapping the cord snug to the top portion of the cage. I also put a cat heating pad inside the cage with a few blankets. I lined the outside of the crate with cardboard, lined the top of the crate with a reflective car window shield to reflect heat, and covered the entire crate with blankets. I left a small section without cardboard to allow access to the heater controls. I left the side door (the door on the wider side) of the crate open, covered the door opening about 3/4 of the way down with blanket, and pushed the open door side, close to a wall, with just enough room for my cats to squeeze in. I leave a thermometer inside the cage to adjust the heater setting. When temps are 35 and below, I use the highest setting. Otherwise, the heater is on the second setting. The best part is the heater stays on until you turn it off or you can set it to run for several hours and it will shut off automatically. I feel safe with the safety features on the heater, especially the overheat auto shut off and if anything restricts the heat flow, it will shut off. The outside of the heater does not feel hot to the touch, only the bottom feels slightly hot. I recommend this heater for anyone with outdoor animals! Great, quality product!

When the power goes out, it doesn't default to last settings. You have to reset it. Other than that, great little product for my great little chicken house :)
