My grandson loves it and says it is much better quality than others he had. Really into retro music now and this fits that niche perfectly for a fraction of the price of others.

I have tried two of these units and both have the same issue in that when the USB is inserted to record onto, the playback of the cassette slow to a crawl so all the sounds are distorted. When the USB is removed everything sounds normal. Add to that the low quality of materials and you get a non usable product. I was really hoping this would work but you should try a different option.

When trying to make a digital recording of my cassette tape this recorder creates a loud background noise that sounds like a helicopter with a constant wush and a whoop whoop whoop whoop whoop whoop whoop Non-Stop that makes it hard to hear the music so don't throw away your money on this

I had several ( a lot actually) of old cassette tapes that I wanted to convert to digital files. This little device did the job. And you can use it as a cassette player. As to how long it will work/last, only time will tell.

Now can play everything through one time and record for MP3. It is amazing how this very old technology still works, but after going through 20 tapes I was reminded why this medium isn't used anymore.When you are only going to get a single good play through on a brand new tape from 20 years ago, its best to have this type of device to record it perfectly the first time.Read the instructions over and over, then read them again. Its not super complicated, unless you need the complicated features.Straight playback and record is easy and works very well.
