Usati in trasparenza sono acquarelli con colori bellissimi. Con meno acqua sono altrettanto belle gouaches. Consigliatissimo.

This product is not exactly as gouache, it's more like between watercolour and gouache. Some colors are transparent as watercolour, some colours are opaque. The paint is very smooth and easy to work with.The brush that comes with the package is not professional level.It's a good set to bring out for some quick sketches.

I am super excited about this product. Carandache is a must on all artist 🎨 The pans are big and super easy to.rewet and add color. I notice once the pigment dries it does not move. It has a lot of mixed reviews but this is a great value product. Very happy with my set.

This is a really nice travel gouache set. It came recommended by an artist I follow. To my surprise it was larger than I anticipated! The paint is easily activated with very little water or effort. The colors are bright and easily blend-able. The really bright green and pink can easily be toned down as needed..The only reason I gave it four stars was because, after some research I discovered that some of the colors are not rated highly for lightfastness. Ordinarily I wouldn't buy or use non-lightfast colors, but because this is being used primarily in a sketch book where it will rarely be exposed to a lot of light, rather than being framed and sold to hang on a wall, I'm ok with it.

edit: added a painting that I did with this gouache!I was concerned about the pans being small, since I’m someone who uses A LOT of gouache to paint in an opaque style. My worries ended up not being a problem at all. The pans are massive. See the attached pic with a quarter for scale. The gouache itself is velvety smooth and blends beautifully. Color mixing is reliable and creates some gorgeous tones without muddying the colors. The downside to the large size is that I can’t see myself using this gouache set for plein air studies – it’s too bulky to fit in my plein air kit. It also takes up a significant amount of space on my desk. I’m fine with that, though. The amount of paint is worth it. Unfortunately my brush arrived damaged. The clear plastic piece meant to protect the brush’s fibers had bent some of the bristles. I reached out to the company to see if they offer replacements. It’s not a dealbreaker if they don’t. I own more brushes than I know what to do with as it is. I bought this set for the paint and the tin casing, not the brush. The plastic portion that holds the pans can be removed for cleaning the tin casing. The plastic feels thick and durable, so I don’t expect it to break or otherwise take damage when removed for cleaning. I will be purchasing this gouache set again once my current set runs out of paint. I love Caran d’Ache products.

After looking around for a "good" set of gouche, reading reviews I decided to get this set. Mainly I liked the idea of pans, it is cleaner and so convenient, since they dry out fast once you are done you can just close the lid and go. But I was worried about the consistency, the opacity and their ability to cover. I am rather new to this medium and so far I have been using those jelly cups gouche, which is the reason I started looking for something else in the first place. Those work fair enough but they are so messy, so streaky and the container weights a ton, so ugly! Okay enough, lets go back to these ones :-). I understand this is not an Artist quality gouache and that some people are concerned about their lighfastness of their pigments, although some claim to have contacted the company and have been told most of the colors in these palette have a very good lightfastness except for a couple of them. (Purple and the pinkish one) In my case I am not concern about their lighfastness, since I want to use Gouache for paintings and Illustration mainly in a sketchbook.Since this set has such good reviews from fellow artists who do Gouache, I figure I give them a try. They are not expensive and you have plenty of colors to play around for a while. They are not Windsor and Newton designers Gouache, or Holbein etc nor should we compare them to them, but they are great for what they are, good for practicing, learning and sketching. The brush which comes with it is simply awesome!! If you are picky...maybe get the Windsor and Newton (big) white tube of Gouache and you are set for a while. The little white gouache which comes is fine but probably not as good the Windsor and Newton, anyway at one point rather soon you will be out of white so then get yourself W &N.I am very happy with this choice, I know I will have to get Windsor and Newton Designer's Gouache anyway if I want to do the "real thing" as for Illustration, but this set is still a must have if you like plein airpainting, sketching or like to take your paints with you. The box is large but very sturdy, still way better than carrying tubes, palette, knife etc. So there it is, I recommend this Magic Red Box of Wonders to all of you kids (from 3 to 90) who like painting and stuff. You won't be sorry!*I almost forgot you see I have cats....they walk all over my paints, drink my watercolor water, knock palettes, chew brushes...another reason I am dreading buying tubes or don't do Oil or Acrylic anymore. But this one I can simply close the lid, I have lids for the water, mixing palette etc LOL. You know, I stand a minute from my desk and they mess around with everything. You know what I am talking about if you have cats or dogs :-) Now If your dog runs away with this box the paints will still be good for you to use hahahaha.

This is my second one, absolutely recommend. This a high quality product, comparable to professional gouache. The cakes are huge and last for a long time.Please, dont confuse this set with Fancolor, I have both. This set is of greater quality in terms of the consistency, texture and experience of painting. Fancolor is more for children, and while they are also great with bright colors, they don't have the qualities of this Studio set. If you are into painting I recommend this set highly. Caran D'ache is so consistent in the hues and texture and experience of application. I have tried other professional brands and this set is up there in my preference. They dissolve right away. It's very important to note that swatching the pigments and using them as they come out of the pan doesn't show the true potential of this paints. The tiniest amount of white brings the opaqueness alive and brilliance of the colors. It sounds counter intuitive but it is! I would consider buying this set before trying more expensive gouache, or even more colors. This set will teach you about mixing in ways that will amaze you. You might think I don't need grey, or black, but I once you add a bit of grey to a magenta or bright blue your eyes will pop watching the subtle tones you see. Noteworthy goods sent the product in pristine condition, Thank you Amazon for no dings or bents! Absolutely recommend this!

Es la primera vez que pinto con guache y he de decir que éstas pinturas son una maravilla. Son cremosas pero al mismo tiempo se dominan a la perfección. La caja es muy práctica. Tiene mucho espacio para mezclas. Está muy bien pensada para transportarla. No necesitas ir cargando con todos los tubos. Trae los colores adecuados para hacer una generosa carta de color y lograr una gran cantidad de ellos. Por otro lado decir que los colores son muy bonitos y brillantes. Se pueden utilizar más opacos con menos agua y hacerlos transparentes con más cantidad de ella, es decir, obtendréis acuarelas. La verdad es que es muy versátil y qué duda cabe que Caran d'ache es de las mejores marcas. Nunca defrauda. Merece la pena, de verdad. Los dibujos quedan preciosos. Hice una prueba con ellas y me encantó.La caja mide 28 cm de largo x 11 cm de ancho x 2'5 cm de alto.
