Works great!Better than expected.Replaced a larger unit that was from the late 50s or early 60s. The fan was getting tired on the old unit.This Smaller unit puts out more heat than the old one on its best day ever.

I was looking for a replacement Marley FFC2048 wall heater so I could replace the old heater and minimize drywall work. Although I couldn't find a direct Marley replacement product, I came across the Cadet Com-Pak Electric Wall Heater Complete Unit with Thermostat (Model: CSC152TW. The product dimensions and positioning of the unit (ceiling) were confusing in the description, so I purchased the unit unsure of what to expect. So, I will unconfuse the measurements. The panel box for this model requires a cutout 10" H; 8" W; 4" D. The heater unit fits within the panel box. The grill measures 12" H; 9" W aprox 3/4" H. I consider this a wall unit. In the Pic I placed the old Marley to the left and the new unit to the right. They are very similar with the exception of the flange on the top of the Marley unit - which has two screw holes on top one another. One screw hole is for the grill, the other to secure the heater to the panel box. The new unit does not have this flange, but it does come with a small block of rubber which I used on the top (between the heater and grill) since a single screw holds both. You can see in pic 2 the panel boxes for the new unit fits within the old Marley panel box. And pic 3 is the old panel box ready to receive the heater unit itself. So far, this unit works well, and the grill seems more substantial than the old unit.

Beware Safety IssueI had this installed in our summer cabin for two winters now. I close up the cabin for the winter and shut off the heater with the dial thermostat. Worked fine the first winter, but I had a utility bill for $150 over the nominal charge this month and had to pay someone to go to the cabin to investigate. This heater was running full blast and the dial thermostat would not shut it off, even though the bedroom was very hot.This cost a lot of money and worse could have burned down the cabin.They need an on off switch or another means that does not rely on a cheap thermostatI was not real happy with the heater generally as it was loud and cycled on and off every couple of minutes when minimal heating was needed

Received the unit in good condition, except for one minor point, there is NO chassis knockout connector included in the package, and you will need one. Additionally, the mounting has to be x distance from the floor and other areas, this is not explained in the Amazon sales page. For 208 VAC, you should also have a separate double poll single throw wall switch so you can leave the thermostat set and turn the unit on and off when needed.The unit slides into the wall chassis box, but unless you see it, you may not realize that one side has to go into the slots, and the other attaches via one very small included screw. The directions also do not explain if you can mount the unit horizontally in the wall cavity, the pictures only show vertically, but there is a small arrow in the chassis that shows both mounting directions. They also claim you can ceiling mount it, thus unless you are very tall, you will need the DPST switch and some way to run it from the unit to a spot on your wall. (48" from floor)All in all, a nice unit for a small bath or other room.
