About this item

  • Brutus & Barnaby stands behind our products, we promise that you and your dog will love our treats or we will take them back no questions asked. If you are dissatisfied and your order page doesn’t allow returns, please reach out to us and we will help you.
  • Fully Digestible: no bone so that means no splintering or crumbling pieces to worry about, so you can give these dog bully sticks to large dogs, or small dogs, even teething puppies. Available in both 6 inch and 12 inch for all dog sizes.
  • Not Bleached: some dog treats are washed in a bleaching solution to alter the natural color, these dog chew sticks are not bleached and are a great alternative to rawhides for dogs. Plus compared to other dog treat products their odor is minimal.
  • Scrape Away Tartar: scraping and gnawing action on these bully sticks will work away tartar and cause your dog to expend energy doing so
  • Only the highest quality: Our treats are sourced from grass fed, free range cattle; raised without any added hormones, so your dog gets the healthiest & tastiest treat. Each bully stick is handpicked & inspected to ensure your dog gets only the best.

Too big/wide for my 12LB terrier mix. I ordered the 12 piece package thinking they would not all be super thick like I received in the past orders of the same size package but this time they were ALL really thick. This brand is good quality but very expensive for something I cannot use and cannot return.

My dachshund loves her bully sticks. This one in particular really gives her jaw a workout. No odor.

I tried different brands of bully sticks and eventually gave up trying to find one for my 9 lb chihuahua rat terrier mix, a highly motivated power chewer. After 2 years I decided to look again and found this brand of bully sticks here on Amazon. What a game changer thanks to their quality. The odor is slight to NONE, thickness and durability is exceptional, great for dental care too. She chews on it every night before bed. I do cut the chewed up end off of the bully stick each day before giving it to her (with a very strong clipper). In my opinion that just keeps it cleaner etc. I'm so glad I discovered the Brutus & Barnaby brand, their bully stick is solid and sturdy.

I gave our French Bulldog - 6 mo. puppy - the largest diameter item that came in the pack so that I could monitor him and make sure he didn't choke. This was his, and my first exposure to this kind of treat. It was about two finger widths around (about an inch and a half - 3.8 centimeters)He seemed completely disinterested at first, but later I found out (the hard way when he bit me), that this was one hell of an engaging treat. After he bit me when I tried to inspect it, (and he had a time out), I gave it back to him from time to time, remembering to not let him have it too long. He was VERY unhappy about it being taken away, clearly he loved it. All total he consumed the whole thing in about 6 hours (elapsed time was about 5 hours).Just this one episode alone proved to be a very valuable teaching tool for both our dog AND me. Frankly it was worth the purchase just to learn that much more about our puppy (and training the dog!).There is an odor. The odor from the package is stronger than the odor in use... and my dog did get, literal "penis breath" (they are bull "sticks") - but even his breath was not objectionable. The second (and only time so far) I have given him another was one of the smallest sticks - it was slightly larger than pencil width (1/2 inch or 1.3 cm). It could be he was now highly motivated to eat it faster, but it took him only about 45 minutes to devour the whole thing. At one point he seemed to have about 2 inches of it left, which think he outright swallowed. The good news is he seemed quite fine... that speaks to the digestibility of these treats. It's probably unrelated, but Zeus (our Frenchy), did break out with a rash on his under-legs (arm pit areas). I think it's unrelated because I believe it occurred BEFOREhand and afterward, too.My concerns now are only that he will devour them too quickly... the goal is to have something he can chew that will keep him busy if we have to crate him for several hours. We got him deer antlers, too. He gnaws on those, but clearly finds them MUCH less interesting than the bully stick. I'd rather him gnaw on these bully sticks or deer antlers than whatever else he is likely to put in his mouth... literally anything from paper, cardboard, plastic, fabric, mulch, leaves, grass, rocks, nails, dirt...
