Needed a new scanner to use with EVERNOTE. My old scanner no longer was compatible with my MAC desktop operating system. I don’t keep hard copy files, but scan everything into EVERNOTE for storage. This scanner works great, but has some quirks in setting up. Once you figure it out, it’s AWESOME and performs great! Would buy again and definitely recommend.

This is perfect! It does not take up too much space in my small work area. I use it to scan documents into patient records and the quality of the images is excellent. I have not run into any tech issues as of yet which is unheard of for me. WOULD 100% BUY AGAIN & RECOMMEND.

I've had one at this job and the last job. I scan everything in for absolute transparency in a public non-profit. I did much more scanning of large files at the last job and had to replace the rollers after 6 months. Small price to pay for the front and back scanning. Sometimes have difficulty with thinner paper like paper used in duplicates, but easily fixed and usually just when picking it up to feed. It's very reliable and get automatic updates, so always available. Easy to troubleshoot if it doesn't scan. Good for scanning receipts and docs of all kinds. Love that I can save directly to my computer files where I need them and can drag/drop those files to Quickbooks. Saves as a PDF and perfect for saving digitally. Makes my job so much easier and transparency is a must.

Before trying the Brother ADS-3300W, I had ordered a Ricoh (formerly Fujitsu) ScanSnap iX 1600 and then an Epson Workforce ES-580W. The software drivers and utilities for both the Ricoh and Epson machines would not unpack and install properly on my brand new PC running a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro, and in each case the support staff for the manufacturers could not offer a solution. Gnashed my teeth that neither product would set up properly on the current version of the Windows OS. So after many hours of frustration, both were returned, and I crossed my fingers and ordered the Brother. I am so glad that I did.The Brother software installed with no issues at all, and I was able to connect the scanner within minutes. It has all the speed I could ever want, and the feature set is amazing. Be sure to download AND view the 250+ page manual for this machine to learn all the tips and tricks. I find the interface in the Brother software to be very logical and user friendly. Delighted to have TWAIN and OCR capability, and the ability to connect the scanner in so many different network and direct methods.I have a Brother color laser printer that has given me nearly 20 years of trouble free daily duty, I should have known all along that Brother would be my best option for a duplex document scanner. Save yourself the pain that I endured before buying the ADS-3300W, and just order this great product. HIGHLY recommended!

It is a fast document scanner. But you have to put the document upside down to scan the document. Which is very annoying but a lot of scanners are like that. The software bloatware that has to be installed to use with pc is frustrating. I just wanted the driver but it won’t be full featured. I love that I can network scan with other pc’s and devices.

I just spent over 3 hours with their tech support on the phone. I have been a brother customer for years and to this day have multiple brothers scanners and multifunction devices in my office. I purchased this device so that you would not have to be tied to a computer to scan I wanted a device where I could create a workflow that would scan to the cloud from a one-touch button on the scanner just like advertised. Unfortunately there is a software bug it does not work. It works with USB but does not work with Wi-Fi. All the other scam functions seem to work but I don't want to have to initiate scans from the computer and I do not want to have to initiate scans without a programmable workflow. Spent the extra money to get this it was not worth it. Returning it and going with another vendor.*** 12/7/2022 UpdateTheir tech support sent me an update message telling me that the wifi workflows work on their end and that I should disable my virus protection security program to see if that is what is causing it not to work. Nope, not disabling my virus protection program. I can press scan to pc button on scanner and that works but it does not go to cloud. I can press scan on computer and it scans. That is not why I bought this scanner. I already have that function on multiple scanners at my office. I wanted a scanner where I could sit down at a table without my computer and bulk scan business docs, old docs, receipts, and general mail straight to the cloud as advertised. Even if I could do the Wifi workflows to this scanner, which I could not, it still has to be connected to a computer for the workflow to work. I returned this yesterday via UPS store. Waiting for my refund. Went with another vendor.
