I'm using them inside, so I can't verify the weatherproof feature. They are lightweight and provide a great ambiance. They could be a little brighter, but they're definitely good enough. I love that they use so little power to operate. The remote is fantastic, very handy and works well.

I wanted to wait to review to see how they've held up and I love them this far. I think this type of light has to fit your preference.I have a small balcony and just ordered one 30ft(?). I hung them diagonally across the balcony and doubled it. I could have did the W shape but didn't like it but just so you understand what you can do with this length. I love that it has a remote. With my previous lights, I had to go outside and plug/unplug them, now I can just hit the remote and keep it moving. I like that you can adjust the percentage of light, change the pattern of light, and set a timer. I only wish that there was something dimmer than the 25% but that's not a biggie just a personal preference.I trust that they will last a good long time.

Loved the lights, especially the ability to dim them to different levels. Don't think we'll use the other features like flashing, but it's fun. Remote works from long-range, too (inside the house)!

Great lights, variable settings for nice mood. My only issue was that the plug end was so large that we could not close the cover for the outside outlet - I had to spend an extra 10$ on an outdoor extension. Work great, seem durable... easy to hang and the auto off timer is great.

I bought three of these and not one box had a remote control dimmer. The bulbs are tiny small and they keep breaking. I’m not pleased with this product.

I love these. The bulbs are removable, and as you can see on the right side of the picture, you can unscrew the bulbs from parts of the strand that you don’t want to light up. I think it looks a lot better when the part that hangs down from the curtains to connect to the outlet is not lit.They are plastic, so they’ll feel sort of cheap when you hold them, but I like that they won’t shatter like glass- they’re just asking for my cat to pull them down. If/when he does do that, at least they won’t break.Also, they don’t get too hot. I used to have Edison bulbs hanging in the same location, and when I sat at my desk nearby, I could feel the intense heat radiating off of them. I love how Edison bulbs look, but they gate SO hot! These look great and only get warm in comparison- they won’t burn you like other bulbs, and won’t radiate so much heat that you’ll sweat!I was worried that because they’re LEDs, they would be an awful, fluorescent bright white or blue-white color. Luckily, they’re not, and have close to the same warm, orangeish glow that my Edison bulbs did. They are much more welcoming than the bright white ceiling light that came with my apartment.I haven’t used them outside so I can’t attest to that. I also don’t use the connecting feature, but I’ll say that it’s also great that you can connect more at the end if you want, like Christmas lights. Definitely a good buy!

Update June 2024: These lights have been hanging over our patio year round in Chicago since **June 2019** and are still going strong. We have not had to replace a single bulb, and the globes haven’t fogged. They’ve survived hail, a derecho, severe thunderstorms, subzero temps, and 60+ mph winds.Original Review 2020We purchased these lights over a year ago, and hung them over our patio using the Belio String Light Hanging Kit (highly recommend that kit!) available on Amazon. The lights are great and look just as good as the day we hung them 15months ago. We left them up over the Chicago winter and during severe thunderstorms, and all the bulbs still work perfectly.Before purchasing, I read other reviews that said the bulbs burn out quickly. We’ve not had one bulb burn out in 15 months of use, but we have had to tighten a few bulbs after winter, bad storms, or especially windy days. I think the vibration from the wind and/or the freeze-thaw cycle can loosen bulbs over time. Also, when screwing in bulbs before hanging the lights, it’s important to make sure the bulbs are screwed in all the way, which can take a bit of effort.The bulbs are plastic, so I don’t worry about them shattering during storms. Although they’re plastic, they look like glass to me, and they don’t fog up or become hazy. We get compliments all the time from friends and neighbors.I would recommend purchasing the Belio String Light Hanging Kit from Amazon. Hanging the lights on the cable keeps the weight and stress off the power cord.
