How to use the boresighter?
1. Unscrew to open the end cap from the boresighter counterclockwise.
2. Insert 3 batteries (all of + side up) inside the boresighter.
3. Carefully push down and screw end cap clockwise to tighten, and the laser will turn ON.
4. Place in your gun’s chamber and close the bolt, Start the zeroing and sighting work.
5. To remove after uing - open the bolt if it does not automatically extract, manually remove with the aid of a pencil.
6. Unscrew the end cap and remove the batteries to turn OFF.

I really wanted to like these - but after trying in multiple different firearms I have found that the bore fit is just too loose and when the extractors put pressure on them they are pushed off center.The entire point of bore sights is to align optics and you can’t do that with these because they aren’t aligned with the center of the bore.

Laser boresight works great. Easy battery installation. When you put the laser in the breech/barrel, recommend that you cover the barrel muzzle with black duct tape so that you can see that the boresight laser is centered in your barrel without doing damage to your eyes. Then you can remove the tape to sight in your scope/red dot/laser with barrel laser for distance/point of impact based on trajectory.

So as an owner of multiple firearms that have Red Dot sights or Laser Sights, this is a great way to get the on board sight system to be accurately set for a specific distance without expending a ton of ammo! Works great! Only downside is that there isn’t a way to turn it off other than unscrew the cap a remove the batteries. BEWARE OF THIS! The spring is strong and the batteries are tiny and easy to loose!

These all work as expected. I used the .40 S&W laser cartridge to boresight a red dot sight on a 10MM Auto pistol. It worked fine and the impact was close on the target at the range requiring minor adjustment. As with any laser, especially red lasers the beam does not work well in bright sunlight but inside or overcast outside it is bright enough.

The Good: Craftmanship is excellent, the red laser is bright. I will be using these as a training aid to visually show my students that the barrel is always pointed at something whether you intentionally aim or not.The Not-So-Good: These use hearing aid batteries with no On-Off switch. You put the batteries in, screw the end plate back on the assembly, and the device lights up - till you take the batteries out, or they go dead. These tiny hearing aid batteries are about 1/10 the capacity of a typical "Cat Laser Toy" so expect run times in the single digit minutes. The other big observation is that these lasers are both intended for simi-automatic (9mm and .45 ACP) which use an extractor clip/hook to pull the empty brass shell out of the barrel. The extractor will press against the side of this laser and cause the beam to end up somewhere off-center (maybe a little, maybe a lot). And if you think you can beat this issue by locking the slide open, remember most pistol actions drop/tilt the barrel whenever the slide is back.Good Luck, and please be safe.
