My cat loves this brush and its gentle bristles. It leaves her coat nice and shiny. It removes some loose hair but isn’t as good as a deshedder. She has a thin short coat so I use a silicon brush for deshed and then go over her coat with this brush to smooth it out.

My cat who is spoiled will let me brush him out with this brush. He doesn't like flea comb because it pulls over thick hair out

I have tried many brushes over the years to keep my cats' shedding under control, and this is the best brush I have ever had. My kitten's coat is gleaming and gorgeous, and she loves getting brushed with this, approaching me often and pushing the brush toward me so I know she wants to be brushed. I like that this does not have the sharp, needle-type bristles that my cats HATED. They ran from being brushed with those old tortuous brushes. This is a good, old fashioned brush that even humans used to use on their hair many years ago in the good old days. I am very happy with this brush, and so are my cats.
