This product made me smile so much. My friend group likes to have PowerPoint presentations parties, and I’ve had so many issues tried to mirror to the tv. My laptop doesn’t like the Chromecast, and switching to an iPhone meant I couldn’t cast from my phone any longer. This dongle does the same thing as the Chromecast, without having to worry about compatibility. My tv is old and not smart, so I have to rely on transmitting. This having the USB-C for input puts me back in the game transmitting from my laptop. It won’t help me with my iPhone, but it will allow my Android friends to connect directly to their phones. No app is needed, and the dongle came in a cute little carrying case. I’m really happy with this and can’t wait to plan our next nerd night!

This wireless HDMI gadget is very convenient for connecting my iPad Pro to my HDMI projector. It’s got a small wireless transmitter with a USB-C port that plugs directly into my iPad. The other end has an HDMI connector for the projector and a USB-A port to power the adapter. My projector has one USB-A port that’s just right for this setup. The wireless connection is very reliable, playing a 45-minute video without any issues. The adapter took a bit longer to establish in the mirror mode, but once it’s connected, it’s smooth sailing and doesn’t need any software. The mirroring mode automatically switches between my iPad Pro and the projector. I love how easy it is to use, and I highly recommend this product.

I had high hopes for this little thing. I thought I might be able to get a game system to output without having a direct connection (the TV is high up) but alas it wouldn't work. However, that's not the advertised functionality of this little thing. It really does work well. Yes, there's a half second lag, but that's to be expected. It worked on all phones and laptops I tried.Where this would shine would be an old TV without any casting functionality but an HDMI port. It also could be useful on a locked down TV in a meeting, or if you didn't want to mess around to figure it out. You literally need to plug this in and go to the right HDMI feed. It's very seamless.Highly recommend if you need it

This was the easiest installation ever, just plug the dongle into a USB port on the computer, put the HDMI cable into a port on the TV, and power that cable with USB also. Then, perfect picture, performance just like the cable, and all the convenience of no cable. It took me longer to decide whether to order this than it did to install and get it going. Photos show the back of my dusty 2013 Samsung TV with the cable in place, and the dongle attached to my Macbook. The value for your money is outstanding, since many of these listed on Amazon are much, much more expensive, and I don't see how they could be better than this one. This seems like a quality built item that will be durable, but I will certainly update if there are any issues.

This item comes in two parts, a transmitter and a receiver. Both are very nicely secured in a small case that takes up very little space. The receiver looks more like a 60cm charging cable as anything else and should be attached first. One end plugs into a hdmi socket on our TV (or whatever receiving device it is, e.g. a digital projector) and the other end into the usb A socket on a suitable 5v, 1A power source like a charger (I used an older Apple iPad charger). The receiver should be attached first. With our TV I had to use the remote to change the source to the hdmi input it was using and a screen appeared waiting for a signal. The transmitter is attached next and looks is like a typical dongle in appearance, looking like a large pen drive. This plugs into a usb C port on the device I want to send from. All being well this is recognised and a small led on the receiver goes from red to green in 8-10 seconds. Then without WiFi or a usb connection being set up, whatever is displayed on my device screen is mirrored on the TV. Resolution isn’t 4k but is perfectly adequate but I did notice a very tiny delay between an action on my device and this being displayed on the TV.When it works like this it’s really good and saves a lot of hassle messing around with cables or trying to establish connections. It would be great for presentations. That said it doesn’t always work like this if at all. Firstly the receiver needs a power source and the cable is only about 60cm long. The device itself be it a TV or whatever might have a usb port that can supply power, though on our TV I have no idea if it’s offering power or if that might be 5v, 1A so I didn’t use it and instead had to add a usb extension cable to reach the charger. Next, the device the transmitter is plugged into needs to be compatible and the instructions include a list of devices that are not. Among these are several Asus products but I tried it with a Vivobook 16 laptop that’s not shown and it wouldn’t work with that either so the list provided isn’t complete and up to date. On the TV when this happens there is a large QR code that links to the manufacturer’s website showing other products and a short message to say there is no signal. There is no troubleshooting guide I can see, it’s either expected to work simply or it doesn’t work at all.Next I tried plugging the transmitter into a 10th generation iPad and it worked in a few seconds exactly as it’s supposed to do. This was really good though I don’t know how much power the transmitter draws and since the iPad only has one socket it can’t be recharged while the transmitter is in use which could be a drawback.Bearing in mind the possible constraints around powering the transmitter/receiver I thought this was a really useful, well packaged device but be aware of possible compatibility issues around whatever it might be used with.

Backyard projector, here we come!you can use a portable batter charger using a USB-A port to supply power to the HDMI connection if you receiving device don't have a power source. The transmitting side uses a USB-C port. Many uses for this item.

The BENFEI Wireless USB C Transmitter and HDMI Receiver Kit is a surprisingly straightforward way to wirelessly connect USB-C devices to an HDMI display. I appreciated that there’s absolutely no configuration or pairing needed - it truly works right out of the box. Just plug the transmitter into your laptop or tablet and the receiver into the display, and you’re set.Video quality is solid, with a stable 1080P connection even at a good distance. In my experience, the connection reliably holds up across a typical meeting room or classroom, so you don’t have to worry about signal dropouts. The receiver is conveniently powered via USB, and since most projectors or monitors have a USB port right next to the HDMI input, the setup stays neat and cable clutter is minimal. One minor downside is that it takes about 10 seconds for the connection to establish each time you plug in or power on the kit. It’s not instant, but for most uses it’s quick enough and not really an issue. Once connected, everything works smoothly without lag or stuttering.Overall, it’s a hassle-free wireless HDMI solution that does exactly what it claims. If you need a quick way to share your screen without fussing over network setup or adapters, this kit is a strong choice.
