this stunning stool that has become an integral part of my daily routine. Firstly, the colour is as gorgeous as depicted in the photos, adding a chic aesthetic to my home decor. I am particularly impressed with its dual-step functionality, which allows me to reach the top of cabinets effortlessly, offering a perfect blend of style and practicality.I've owned this stool for over a year and it has remained sturdy, despite daily use. Unfortunately, the assembly process was quite challenging. The parts provided seemed incompatible, causing the sides to attach incorrectly. As someone experienced in assembling various types of furniture, this was quite surprising. I even enlisted the help of a professional, who managed to assemble it by improvising beyond the given instructions. For this reason, I have rated it 3 stars, though it would be a solid 5 if not for the assembly issue. Despite the higher price point, the stool’s beauty and functionality make it a worthwhile investment if aesthetics are a priority for you. Friends frequently compliment its appearance, which makes the cost more justifiable. However, if budget is a concern and aesthetics are not your primary focus, you might find more affordable alternatives.Overall, I am delighted with the product.

Good solid wood, perfect size in my kitchen. Enables me comfortably to reach upper shelves or to sit on when I answer the phone.

Assembly was fairly easy. Had to match parts with orientation on the diagram and also realize that the crossbeam with felt on it is faced up so stool part rests on it when underneath.

I received this on January 9 and assembled it that day or within a day or two. I use it almost exclusively, and while I am not light, I am under the weight limit given for the product. During the time I’ve had it (a month and a day), I was out of town for 10 days. So it has received approximately 20 days of light use (climbing into and out of a high bed each day). No one else has used it, and it has not been moved more than a couple of feet during that time. Already the point where the side connects into the legs is repeatedly coming loose, and at least one connector dowel has broken. I do not feel safe using it, and because I waited a day or two too long to realize I needed to do something about it (due to the 10 days of travel), it’s too late to return it. That part is my fault, but I wanted others to know that, at least in my experience, it isn’t holding up well at all.

Very nice and handy step stool. Sturdy, pretty easy to assemble. Like how the lower step easily folds in. Light weight, very easy to move from spot to spot in my kitchen to get into those top cabinet shelves.

I use this stool in my walk in closet to sit on to put on my shoes. Also bottom step flips out to easily step up and reach items on top shelf. Very sturdy and was easy to assemble. Great value for the money.

It is a heavy wooden stool. It arrives in a flat box. You are required to assemble this stool. 10-12 pieces. All hardware needed is provided. Even comes with the hex key needed. All screw holes are pre drilled. All hole locations were correctly located. Made of laminated wood. Surface layer looks like bamboo. Hopefully the glue used is not affected by moisture. Stool construction is angled to provide stability, so many of the pieces have cuts made at angles to accommodate. These angles must be correctly positioned while assembling and screwing pieces together. Gold plated appearance screws are provided to use, where screws will remain visible. I found it difficult to assemble, as many pieces are long, some heavy, and are exposed to possible damage while hanging off one screw. As the piece hangs there unsupported on the opposite end. I had one layer of the laminate split apart, as the screw entered the pre drilled hole. This small separation I was able to “re-glue” and make solid again, before finally fastening. The pieces were cut and shaped with precision. The ends were smooth. No ruff surfaces or edges. All surfaces were coated with some sort of light varnish type finish. I would’ve liked that finish to be thicker/heavier on the exterior surfaces. The tips of the legs have a thin rubber grip surface where they sit in the floor. The top plate is large, and it is high off the floor. Higher than my previous plastic step stool. High enough to sit on. As for positioning , when open for use, it is off balanced, and moving it is ungainly. Just easily lift/tip/fold the bottom step up and over into the space below the top, and the stool is balanced and easy to move around. But not light weight. When open, one side of the bottom step does not rest on the floor, but upon the horizontal cross piece ( of the larger step ) which is only supported by one screw in each end. This may be a weak point in the design. The tipping & folding uses a steel rod running from leg to leg of the main structure, thru the small step’s legs, allowing it to pivot. The geometry needed to accomplish all this requires precision location of all the holes and parts. On this stool it all worked as designed. If this stool had some “cross bracing” , creating triangles, I believe it would be stronger. I also would like some holes and dowels , allowing the use of glue, joining parts together in a more permanent fashion. I suggest checking and retightening the screws from time to time, will be needed. At $50.00 it was only $20.00 more than a plastic step stool. I think it will be worth it. As for true durability, only time will tell. I was used to kicking around my old plastic step stool to position it, not to be done with this one.
