This works perfectly for what I needed. I had my lower back fused in 2008 so I just needed a little more support. I find wearing this brace any time I have to be in a car for more than 30 minutes it really cuts down on my discomfort

I ordered a small in accordance with the sizing chart. I have a 32 to 33 inch waist. The belt was way too small. Based on the other reviews, I guess that the smaller sizes are too small and the larger sizes are too big. Manufacturer needs to correct the sizing chart.

I've had problems with back muscle spasms. Been to chiropractor, had PT, taken pain meds, nothinghelps long term. This back brace is very strong, the straps can be adjusted to fit, it makes you stand straight. The mesh along the bottom edge has "give" so you can bend over. It might be too tall fromtop to bottom if you are very short. I'm 5ft7" and weigh 210 lbs and it fits me very well. It gives strongsupport.

I have severe sciatica and lumbar herniated discs to the point that I can hardly walk some days. While this brace doesn't completely remove the pain, it certainly makes it significantly improve. There is inherent awkwardness you will have with any brace because it's a bit tight around your stomach and other organs to provide that mid-section support. However, once I put it on, I can feel my spine relax, which I desperately need. It does roll a little bit, but the metal supports in the back are what really count, and those stay put.
