Okay let’s look at this Opqpq ODM802 Flex digital microscope. Not that I really needed a microscope at home, but I regularly work with small electronics and occasionally like to tinker with old mechanisms like watches, so I was really curious to try it out :). The design seems to be very robust with 4K clarity and autofocus precision. With its 10-inch LCD screen, flexible boom arm, and a soldering station, this device seemed created for enthusiasts like me.Setting it up was relatively straightforward, though the multiple components - clamps, the helping hands station, and the additional ring light - required a bit of patience. Once assembled, the microscope’s 2-second autofocus feature was perfect. No fiddling or tweaking; it locked onto details quickly and effortlessly, making tedious tasks like soldering microchips and contacts a much smoother process. The 4K UHD display was equally impressive, offering sharp, vibrant visuals that exposed the smallest imperfections in PCB traces. The ring light provided even illumination, eliminating the need for additional lighting in most scenarios. Using the device felt intuitive, with a clear menu system and options for photo or video capture via the included 64GB microSD card. I loved being able to connect it to my monitor via HDMI for larger projects - it worked seamlessly without any driver installation. However, I noticed that vibrations from my workbench occasionally caused the screen to blur, requiring frequent use of the autofocus button. A more stable mounting solution would likely resolve this. While the microscope performed fantastically, there were few minor flaws. One of the boom arm joints was overly tight and attempts to adjust it revealed a cross-threaded bolt. Additionally, the L-shaped bracket holding the Z-axis was welded slightly askew, making the alignment less than perfect. These imperfections didn’t significantly affect functionality but were noticeable for a product at this price point. Overall, the ODM802 Flex delivers incredible value for its versatility and clarity. Despite its minor mechanical quirks, it has earned a permanent place on my workbench.Bottom line:The Opqpq ODM802 Flex digital microscope is a robust and versatile tool for small electronics and precision tasks like soldering and watch repair. Its standout features include a 4K UHD display, 10-inch LCD screen, fast autofocus, a flexible boom arm, and a built-in soldering station. Setup was straightforward, and its intuitive controls, excellent lighting, and HDMI connectivity enhanced usability. While minor issues like a tight boom arm joint, slightly misaligned Z-axis bracket, and sensitivity to vibrations slightly detract from the experience, the overall performance and value make it a great addition to any hobbyist's workspace. Solid 5 stars product, highly recommended!Pros:1. 4K UHD display offers sharp, vibrant visuals.2. Fast 2-second autofocus simplifies precision tasks.3. 10-inch LCD screen provides clear, detailed viewing.4. Flexible boom arm and soldering station add versatility.5. Ring light ensures even illumination.6. HDMI output works seamlessly with external monitors.7. Intuitive controls and menu system for easy use.Cons:1. Vibrations cause occasional autofocus blurring.2. Boom arm joint is overly tight and hard to adjust.3. Z-axis bracket alignment is slightly off.

This digital microscope is a must have for anyone who has poor/bad eye sights or work a lot of small delicate electronics. I got this cause I'm getting up there in age and my eyes aren't as good as it used to be anymore. This digital microscope lets you really zoom into whatever you are working and able to see the super fine details on your project. Assembling the microscope takes some time and once you get it all setup it. It is a lifesaver. Long gone are the days that you would hold a magnifying glass in one hand and or have those old table mounted glass and hopefully you can see what you're doing. Well those days are long gone. Once assemble, setup is super easy. This device comes with a 64gig microSD card and several ports on the back. One where you can hook it up to a TV or display that has a HDMI port. The microscope only requires a USB Type-C port which you can hook directly to a computer and switch modes, if you hit the OK button. It will switch to a card reader mode where you can see download a photo or video of your work of what was shown on the screen or working mode. So there's no need to pull the microSD out.It also comes with a 110v additional light you attach to the bottom but I didn't need to use it. The light around the lens is plenty bright to get an image of your work. The screen is large and when the manufacture advertise it's 4k, I definitely believe it. The image/video is super clear and you can literally see a spec of dirt with great details. The one thing this device was bugging me is that on the pivoting arms. One of the allen bolt appears to be cross threaded or stuck. You can't loosen it to take some tension off the pivot cause it's really hard to move one of the joint, that and the L shape bracket that hold the Z-axis where it's welded to the arms. It was welded on crooked about 3 to 5 degrees or so. But there's not slop on the microscope head that you can adjust it where it can sit relatively straight. Another thing I notice if you attach the scope to the table you're working on. Any movement you will make the screen blur really easy and sometimes you have to hit the Auto Focus (AF) button again. So I suggest you mount this on something solid like a heavy work bench.Other than that, I'm giving this digital microscope a 4 out of 5 starts. Everything about this device works well, in fact it works really good and it's a big time eye saver. I definitely recommend this to anyone who works with small delicate electronics and best of all. It makes the job fun now that you can see what you're doing.
