I broke my rear DPF sensor taking it out, the nut broke with the threads still in the hole. Drilled what I could then used this 22mm tap, 12 point socket ( the head is square), and tapped the hole, removing all the left over material. The new sensor bottomed out perfectly and the nut tightened down perfectly. Watch that, the sensor needs a shoulder to rest on, so do not drill 22mm all the way through. The exhaust is hard stainless, I chewed the tap pretty good, but for $25, it saved me hundreds vs rebunging a new hole or replacing the tailpipe.

Had to replace the reverse cable in my Honda Aquatrax. The plastic plug that holds the cable back by the jet broke off on removal due to corrosion of the aluminum that the plug was screwed into. This tap worked perfectly to clean out the threads and made the install of a new plug easy.

I needed to rethread my o2 sensor slot on my catalytic converter. I foolishly sized the bolt (m22) and ordered this bit.If anyone else is about to experience this, let me stop you here. To rethread the o2 sensor slot, or the o2 sensor itself, the size you're looking for is M18 x 1.5. That's M18 size, and 1.5 threading.None-the-less, I also purchased the correct size from ATOPLEE. Their specialty bits are of very good quality. I had absolutely no issues rethreading my o2 sensor slot with the correctly sized bit.Because the M18 x 1.5 tap bit worked so beautifully, I'm going to keep this M22 x 1.5 on hand (instead of returning it) in case I do ever need it for something other than what I purchased it for originally.

This tap is supposedly HSS, but that is not always easy to tell. With that said, the actually cut of the threads on this tap looks pretty good.It looks like it will cut the right threads. Will measure thread pitch as well to make sure this has consistent threads. Will see how well this actually cuts. Will update if anything happens.
