This is a micro ATX board. It doesn't say that anywhere in the description or photos. After receiving it and scouring the amazon listing, the only information is the product dimension, which says 12.2 x 8.27, even though the board is roughly 10 x 10. It even says ATX in the description...

I have used motherboards from every major manufacturer; MSI, Gigabyte, Asus, and ASRock; and I have never had issues with an ASRock mobo in the part. This one is no exception. Everything works as expected. There are no crazy special features and the part is not much to look at but all of the ports and slots work and build quality is sound. For a basic build where you want wifi built into the motherboard, you cannot go wrong with this one.The one issue I do have with the part is that the wifi antennas do feel somewhat wobbly/loose but that is not enough to lose a star, especially at the price for this thing. The I/O shield could be nicer as well but you generally have to pay $50+ more than this one for a better or built-in I/O shield.

What you get for the price here really can't be beat outside of the b650m pro rs. The VRM will accommodate almost every CPU in the current line up, the rear IO is loaded for most people. The board offers dbug leds which are a must in my opinion. The pcie slots are well spaced apart and you get 3 m.2 spots with varying speeds. This board will satisfy most average users and even some high end users who don't need all the extra expansion a full ATX board provides. I currently use this board for all my pre-builds that I sell because for the price it really does check almost every box.

The type C header just doesn't work, but other than that it's fine

This is a budget MB with CPU power limited at 163WI paired it with 7950x and runs pretty well/stable.When running at the full load of 163W, my 7950x is able to be operated at 5.2GHZ (multi core) and Cinebench R23 scored at about 36000.The standard 7950x score with Cinebench R23 at about 36730 with 230 watt power consumption.I am very happy my CPU running at 163 watt while achieving 98% of the performance with 7950x on 230w.Considering the price, I recommend this motherboard for budget conscious buyers. If you are a hard core overclocker, there are some more expensive options that allows 200+ watts on the CPU.

You must go to the Asrock website for bios settings, the only thing redundant was SATA ports. The wifi is a must buy , for some strange reason allows boot strapping with USB dongles, good if weak wifi for some using a top mount power supply longer cables would be nice, love the display port. With the 8600g works fine. The 3 m2 storage slots all work. I am considering replacing my 8600g to an 8700g as they are the only APUs with AI to see what it can do. The only bad thing is the lack of USB ports but that is for my intent .I rate this board a solid 5 in features

Bought this for my 1st board, it worked flawlessly for a about 7 months (As of 4 days ago) The board like many other reviewers have mentioned here, Stops booting i got it sent to a specialist so he could tell me what the problem was so i could basically learn from as my assumption my mistake, But to my my surprise it was just a bad board, double red lights indicating a hardware malfunction (Even without anything plugged in) we tried a brand new CPU & Ram with everything else unplugged & Still, So its something on the board, its a cheap board so its nice for a starter but expect to upgrade,Overall its not really worth the money, Seeing as better board aren't much more

I bought this motherboard to help build a new AM5 PC before tariffs hit soon. Great deal at a bit over $100. Product came and was perfect. I will say that putting the connectors for the wifi antenna was a major pain. They are very small, and do not like to be snapped on easily. Also, would have loved to know where to put the wires from the wifi antenna once installed. They are kinda...there. Also had an issue getting the board to recognize a flash drive for updating the BIOS. Took 5 different attempts to get it recognized. BIOS interface was pretty intuitive, so that was nice too. Had ASRock boards in the past, so I was pretty comfortable knowing what I was getting into. Great buy!

Bought as a gift so this is their review, not mine. The ASRock B650M is quite a unique Micro ATX motherboard that is AM5 compatible. While the slots are PCIe 4.0, one M.2 slot is indeed PCIe 5.0 compatible. While for SSD’s this isn’t entirely important right now, it would have been nice if ASRock put that trace routing to use for the x16 GPU slot. (Though since I am using a 1080 Ti paired with a Ryzen 5 8600G, I’m only getting x8 out of that slot anyway, which somehow is still not a bottleneck on the 1080 Ti).The motherboards RGB functions are quite good, and it can be enabled even when the computer is off, however I use my fans on an LED controller, so the only visible RGB when powered down is the PCB lighting. About that, the PCB RGB lighting is just the upper right corner of the board, 4 LED’s, that’s it. So if you want the PCB to illuminate, just understand it’s one corner where the RAM and PSU connector is, but nowhere else along the back edge like I would have expected. That’s fine though, it has more than enough ARGB headers (and one 12v RGB header, good for a Wraith Prism) to work with (and if like me using an LED controller, you can extend one to handle multiple fans at once).RAM support is quite good and extends a bit past their QVL. I’m using Corsair Vengeance 2x 16GB DDR5-5200 XMP on my system, and it trained itself perfectly on first POST (remember, this board will not visually output anything on first POST for a bit as it trains itself on your RAM). PBO is working amazingly even with my Ryzen 5’s stock Wraith Stealth, finding a healthy constant boost on all cores at around 4.7GHz (when the CPU’s base is 4.3GHz). With a better cooler this can go quite well. While the board supports some hefty Ryzen 9’s, I’d be careful, the VRM’s while more powerful than most budget boards, will start to struggle. Basically you have headroom with a 65w TDP CPU, but a 170w TDP CPU no headroom exists. Also keep in mind, that because this is a 4-slot RAM board, some CPU’s outright will slow the memory down if 4 DIMM’s are present. This is not a fault of the motherboard or the CPU, it’s simply how some CPU’s IMC’s work including my own, which is why I’m only using 2x DIMM’s currently.M.2 slot placement is quite good, though one does sit under the GPU and may get toasty, including the Wifi card. About that Wifi card, mine did not ship with the plastic cover but it’s not entirely needed, it’s only useful for accidental disconnection of the antenna wire, but as long as you secure it correctly, that shouldn’t be an issue. The wifi card is also your Bluetooth, via USB over the same M.2 link by the way.All in all, this motherboard is quite impressive for the price, and even though it’s only a B650 chipset, don’t let it fool you. It runs amazingly well!
