...one that doesn't fit well I could not insert a blade by hand into any of the three despite repeatedly trying. It would go almost in all the way, but the last bit, not at all. And I didn't want to press my luck and try to complete the insertion by hand, because it wasn't going well and I could imagine slicing a finger off. So I had to get some small pliers, and then with that assistance, I was able to get them to snap into place. Much like some other reviews, I don't think the slot it slides into is properly sized. It's practically non-existent. I broke two blades in the process of figuring out how to get the blade to snap into place. These are dangerous in my opinion, at least the ones I have. Spend more money and get better handles. Don't mess around with scalpel handles that don't work well.

I found it challenging to load blades on these scalpel handles. I think the grooves that the blades slide down are not as deep as on my other scalpels and you need to use the right tool (like a needle holder or hemostat) and right technique in order to safely attach and remove blades from these handles. The scale etched on each handle is a nice feature although it's in centimeters rather than inches as the description says.

I didn't like how much effort you have to put in to lining up the blade in the handle. Only one of 3 in pack works well. Would not repurchase.

I like the feel of the handle in my hand as I do a derma planning service. It is just right.

I have switched in crafting from craft knives to scalpels because scalpels are so much safer. Too many times I have had blades slip out of craft knives while in use. That won't happen with these. Like the cheaper handles, these snap the blade into place securely; but these handles feel better and look better. They seem quite durable. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star review is because it is a challenge to get the blade onto the handle. Do not attempt to load without a pair of needle nose pliers. The cheaper ones I have used are easier to load. That said, these are much higher quality and I know they will last and last. I might buy another set so that I can have different kinds of blades loaded at the same time.

Nice snap in. Sturdy handles, very convenient.
