This tester is used when I am packaging my hot sauces. The set up and instructions were so easy to follow, and it is super accurate, making my products safe to sell and completely shelf stable. I tried a few other testers, and this one is by far the easiest and most accurate. The case for it is a massive bonus, too, since I like to keep my packaging equipment organized.

Acheté pour remplacer les bandelettes et les testeurs bon marchés. Celui-ci me donne enfin une mesure précise et surtout fiable du PH de ma piscine. Il fonctionne très bien et la mallette fournie permet de bien protéger cet appareil. Tout est très qualitatif. Je ne regrette pas mon achat.

Aufgrund der sehr positiven Bewertungen habe auch ich mir dieses PH-Messgerät bestellt.Die Beschreibung ist sehr gut, der Messbereich kann durch die mtgelieferten, und gebrauchsfertigen Lösungen vorher festgelegt werden, in diesem Falle wurden 2 Kalibrier-Lösungen mitgeliefert, also ist schon mal eine 2 Punkt Kalibrierung möglich (genauer).Ich empfehle die fehlende dritte Lösung, sowie die Aufbewahrungs (Elektrolyt-) Lösung direkt mitzubestellen.Somit ist die 3 Punkt Kalibrierung möglich.Dazu sei gesagt: wählt man diese Art der Kalibrierung, so müssen alle 3 Lösunbgen nacheinander verwendet werden.Das hat bei mir wunderbar im ersten Versuch funktioniert.Die Aufbewahrungs Lösung ist der Schutz schlechthin für die Sonde, und wird bis zum Strich in die Schutzkappe gefüllt.Das Messgerät selber zeigt mir exakt den Wert meines Wasserversorgers, und es kommt zur Kontrolle des Gießwassers mit Dünger zum Einsatz.Dort leistet es hervorragende Arbeit, es ist total einfach zu bedienen, zeigt exakte und verlässliche Werte an.Ich kann dieses Messgerät im Koffer wärmstens emfehlen, es st jeden Cent wert, und enthält alle was man zum sofortigen Loslegen benötigt.Lediglich die dritte Kalibrier-Lösung und die Aufbewahrungs-Lösung sollte dazu gekauft werden.5 Sterne für den Artikel, und 5 für die absolut blitzsaubere Lieferung.

I have to monitor acidity of water for my orchids. I had a “cheap” PH meter that took ages to stabilize and was only more-or-less accurate.Apera calibrated easily and gives me smiley reading within few seconds. What a pleasure to use it! I hope it lasts. Some users were complaining that it dies within a year. I hope it won’t be the case for me.As of now, I’m extremely happy. Now I need a good ppm reader…..lol….

I bought this tester mainly to verify two cheaper ones I had already. I was just not confident the ones I was using were giving me accurate readings. When I tested them with calibration solution they both read slightly off one being higher and one lower. So I decided to spend the money on a higher end model.The Apera model seems to work very well and when tested in calibration solution is usually spot on. It has a nice LCD display which is easy to read during normal operation and is much quicker at determining the PH level versus the cheaper ones where you need to wait a while for them to stabilize and typically have much smaller and darker displays. That is the good news, however, the calibration procedure is a bit clunky compared to even the other cheaper ones I have. Partly due to the instructions which are very poorly written, hard to follow and provide contradictory information when it comes to things like storing the device. I understand it was made in China but for gosh sake, hire someone who knows how to speak and write in English to design the manual so it makes sense.In my application PH is very important so having more than one tester is not a bad thing. But it I had to pick just one and price was not an issue....then yes, I would chose the Apera model, but by a very small margin. Mainly because it appears to be a higher quality, well made device - even though the included instructions and funky calibration procedure hold it back from a five star rating.But in the end it is only slightly more accurate then the $10-$15 ones I already have. If the accuracy of the PH reading is that important to you and you want the best and do not care about spending $50, then the Apera is a fine choice. But if you are on a budget and are using a tester to check the PH of say swimming pool water, a cheaper model will work just fine. I would recommend getting two cheaper units from different manufacturers so you can check them against one another. You will spend about half of what it cost for the Apera. And as long as you occasionally test and re-calibrate them, you are better off with two cheaper models than the one more expensive one that does the same thing.
