The reviews and ratings are pretty clear, out of the box this thing is junk. However, adjusting expectations knowing this, I purchased this knowing that just in material cost alone to make my own it would cost more than just buying this thing and fixing it up.What folks have mentioned is that the fence is not square and you'll pretty much have to expect to drill your own holes to fit your router. The graduations are in metric and the miter gauge is assembled poorly to where the washers make the gauge rock back and forth in the slot (easy fix, just double up the washers on top of the gauge). But what nobody mentioned was that the 'table' itself is slightly warped too, go figure. So definitely avoid this if you plan on doing any kind of precise joinery.

It’s pretty small an the quality is good,it’s good for small jobs like I do, it will do for me, but if you do a lot of work I would get a bigger one. The holes would not match up to big dewalt router had to get a smaller router an then they matched perfect.

This is one of a number of router inserts on Amazon designed to be used with a router lift for a 65 mm diameter trim router. I bought this along with a matching two-post router lift. I have no complaints regards the router lift.My main complaint about this insert plate is that the diameters of the hole and the counter bore for the a template bushing are over-sized and not concentric. They are also not centered on the center of the router bit when the lift and router are mounted to the plate. In my narrow minded opinion this makes it impractical to use a template bushing with this insert plate. This insert plate and lift are designed to be used with the “hand crank” for the router lift located approximately 1.7 inches (50 mm) to the rear of the center of the router. The fence covers the hole for the router lift crank. I will refrain from making further comment on this aspect. There are two screws used to mount each section of the fence. They are both M6 fasteners and use the same style square nut inside the channel of the extruded fence section. However one has a hex socket head head and the other has a #2 Phillips (aka ‘cross’) countersunk head. A minor problem that could be solved by replacing the latter with proper M6 x 12.5 mm long hex socket head head fasteners. The two scales (0 to 9 cm) have no meaningful relationship to anything on the insert plate except each other. Lastly I do care for the 10 mm x 3 mm miter slot or its accompanying cheap miter gauge. The “big surprise” was that the hole pattern used to mount the router lift is NOT symmetrical front to back. To be fair, it is symmetrical left to right. The only reason I am giving this insert plate two stars is because it did attach to and fit the router lift perfectly.I had a heck of a time making a dimensioned drawing for this part and found some surprises along the way. I am a half blind, senile old man. The dimensions shown in the drawing are as close as I could measure them. If I was going to use this part then I redo the drawing to normalize the dimensions to the nearest half millimeter. However I do not consider this part worth wasting any more of my time on. I have purchased a different 120 mm square insert to replace it.

I was nervous due to there being no reviews but I went for it an I bought the one that comes with a miter gauge and the fence. The miter gauge itself is pretty small but for a hobbies it may work. I ended up drilling my own holes and the plate is flat enough for me. All in all I’m glad I took the chance and bought this. For the price you really can’t complain. I’ll add pictures once I get everything put together.
