Proper lube is crucial for any metal to metal connections like hinges or gears and oil isn't always the best choice due to lack of adhesion. I first used this on the window crank gears in my 65 Mustang that I'm restoring. Just a finger dab along the gear teeth, I few up and down cranks, and they've as smooth as new. It also works with threaded connections to ease the effort. It's not cheap but it's effective.

Good grease, I used for brake pads.At first, I was too lazy and didn't apply it - it was squeaking big time, so I had to redo the job - I disassembled everything back, thoroughly brushed the pads seats, greased calipers, pistons touch points, and the pads shim - now my Lexus runs quiet and breaks silently, like a ninja))Recommended.

Clear colour, neutral odor, easy cleanup, lasting lubrication without breaking down, heat tolerant, good squeeze bottle. Its thick of course so don't expect to drip it into a small cavity. Perfect lube for many different things. I always keep it in my tool bag. Also offers a bit of weather protection for semi-exposed parts. Nice to put over a little of auto bushings. Inside bearings I would use a dedicated bearing grease. And on auto brake pats I use a specialized silicone lube for ultra high temp use. But the sil-glyde would probably work ok for all those things too.

If you have ever had your car door frozen shut in the winter then this will solve that problem. As long as you read the instructions and don't put too much on the weatherstripping it will work perfectly.

Used this product on replacement ceramic brake pads with shims. Prior to its use, my brakes were squealing like a stuck pig. Made sure to lube both sides of the shim as well as the guide pins/springs. Brake noise is not noticeable but only time will tell. So far so good.

Great product, definitely good to have around and many would vouch for that.I used it on my brake caliper pins, works well and haven't had an issue, but don't expect it to fix seized pins completely as in my case. Also price for Canadians are a bit too high.
