Sad to say but ice makers in refrigerators while handy tend to have a much shorter life than the refrigerator so when bought a new one a few years back did not order with ice maker. I used ice trays for years but they were a pain to use (literally as fingers got cold) so decided to try this ice maker after my son got one. Easy to set up and use. Only difficulty I had was the drain plug until realized you just pull down to empty. Since does not keep the cubes cold you will want to empty that into your ice tray in the freezer especially in summer. Overall am extremely pleased. It is a little noisy when operating but not surprising and frankly no more than my old ice maker in the refrigerator so I did give only 4 starts for noise but easy five stars otherwise.

An affordable countertop, portable ice maker machine. AGLUCKY made a good product and we are very satisfied with using it. Also is a nice size for countertop.

Takes 1 batch to really get going. Machine makes small (cocktail size) ice cubes, which is fine with me as I'm not an ice cold fan, but appreciate colder water to drink in mid summer. It takes about 6-7 minutes to make a batch of ice cubes. I keep a gallon ziplock in the freezer. Everytime a batch is made I dump them into the bag. I usually make the cubes while cleaning in the kitchen area so I can keep an eye on the process till the ziplock bag is full. Then I can pull out 2 or 3 whenever I want to chill my drink further than what the fridge makes it. I would buy this maker again.

I have used this ice maker for a few weeks on the boat and at home. First off, it makes one size ice cube: Large. The ice measures 1.25” long x 1” dia. Having only one size is good. Some competitor units make two sizes. That is sort of gimmick marketing. Having two sizes is something else to go wrong and small cubes melt almost instantly.The machine makes the first batch of cubes in about 9 minutes. Ignore the first batch. They will be clear, smallish, and not hard. The machine’s internals haven’t cooled. In fact I sometimes leave the first batch in the holder where they melt and provide cold water for the second batch. The second batch will be very good cubes; firm and white. The cubes have a hollow center. This provides more surface area so the drink gets cold faster than with solid cubes. They will melt faster than solid cubes. They will keep a drink cold in a Yeti cup and have cubes remaining for an hour. The unit keeps making ice every 8 or 9 minutes until it runs out of water or the holder is full. The unit holds enough water to fill the holder ice several times. No need to add water every time the holder is emptied. I have had no issues with the cubes sticking together. Put them in a bag in the freezer. A light tap and they come apart.The machine has to sit upright for two hours before first use for the oil to settle in the compressor. Some other units have to sit as long as 12 hours. I leave the scoop on the counter when making ice and in the bin when not. Some competitors units have a holder on the front. The holder on those units sticks out and could get broken when transporting.I was concerned about oil getting out of the compressor when used on the boat due to rocking. No problems when anchored or docked. I did not make ice while underway. I like the handle, smaller dimensions and lighter weight compared to other units.

This little ice maker works perfectly and has been getting much more use than I expected.I have a tiny freezer and frankly find ice cube trays irritating, so this is a dream. I bought it on sale hoping it would get used enough to justify buying, but didn't expect to use it constantly and love it this much. Definitely worth the buy!!Easy to use, easy to clean, makes a good amount of ice relatively quickly. Faster than my ice trays!! Everyone in the house is staying much better hydrated with ice always ready during this heat wave. Its small enough, its cute (I got the teal!), and gets used constantly, so I am happy to give up the counter space to have it!! I'd happily buy it again.

This small machine has proven to be a great addition to our great room bar area! We call it a workhorse because it does constantly work making ice. I followed the directions setting up from the box. One important thing the directions said was to let the refrigerant "settle" from the shipping movements, so we did that for a couple of hours. I cleaned it well before the first use then filled it, plugged it in and let it go. It hasn't stopped since and we've been very pleased! It comes with a scoop and two ice bags which have come in very handy. We keep the bags full in the freezer for future uses. It can make enough ice to fill a bag in about an hour if you're watching and emptying the basket when it's full. We also like the "bullet" shaped ice because it lasts. Another positive aspect is its size, it doesn't take up much space on the countertop at all! The only negative is the sound, it's a little loud during part of the sequence. That part of the process is short so it would not keep me from highly recommending it.

We bought this because our refrigerator ice maker broke ; twice! There is only my Husband and myself and our daughter when she visits! This ice maker is PERFECT! Fits nicely on the counter without taking up too much room. Make SURE YOU KEEP THE SIDE VENTS CLEAR FOR AIR FLOW.This is NOT A FREEZER. Once the ice is made, you must put it in your freezer or it will melt.It makes ice every 8 minutes and is VERY quiet! When the basket is full a red light comes on to notify you to dump the ice in your freezer. I just put it in our old ice maker basket so we can access the ice thru the door service. The ice is clear and round with a hole in the middle.One basket will fill up my 32 ounce tumbler. As I said we are retired so being home and dumping the ice when it’s made is not a problem for us.I highly recommend!
