Installation instructions for adjustable caster/camber bushing kit

Caution:Proper repair procedures are essential for safe and reliable installation, require experience and tool specially designed for the purpose. These parts MUST be installed by a qualified mechanic

  1. Take initial alignment reading to determine the vehicle is out of OEM specification
  2. Remove tire/wheel assembly and the currently installed bushing from the upper ball joint
  3. Install the adjustable bushing in the neutral position or 0 degree position by dialing the "N" of the inner bushing to the slot of the outer bushing (left illustration)
  4. Take a new alignment reading to determine the amount of positive or negative camber and caster changes necessary, measure and record vehicle caster and camber

Note:

  • It doesn't matter at this point in what position the bushing is installed.
  • This is necessary since it is often unclear what adjuster type and position is currently installed

For example, you need +2 degree camber and -2 degree caster change for your truck driver side?

Refer to the 4x2 chart and left side, so we get what we need is "TU/N". The upper letter is "TU" and the lower is "N"

5. Refer to the proper chart for the vehicle model (4x2 or 4x4 chart). On chart, find desired caster and camber change being sure to use the LEFT side of chart for the DRIVER side and the RIGHT side for the PASSENGER side

6. Follow both measurements (camber caster changes required) to their intersection on the chart, You will find two letters, the upper letter represents the code for the INNER bushing piece. The LOWER letter is the reference for positioning the OUTER adjuster

Note:

  • If the are two upper letters or lower letters in a box, position the bushing between the two letters

How to adjust the inner and outer bushing?

7. Simply adjust the INNER bushing so that the UPPER letter found on the inner piece is aligned with the SLOT on the OUTER piece. dial the outer bushing so that so that the LOWER letter found on the chart is centered with the SLOT of the knuckle

8. Install new pinch bolt and torque to manufacturer's specifications

9. Install snap ring ( if equipped)

10. Recheck alignment and set toe to specifications, proceed with alignment and road test the vehicle

  • The parts in this kit are designed to replace the worn or non-functioning original equipment parts in the vehicle as produced by the automotive factory
  • These parts are not designed for installation on vehicles where the suspension and/or steering system have been modified for racing, competition, or any other purpose

Note:

  • Using a thin wall socket or channel type pliers will make adjustments easy

These bushings are tiny. I've seen cars with larger bushings. They definitely do NOT fit any model of F250 ever built!

I installed these onto a 2wd 1993 ford ranger. It was very hard getting them inserted I had to pound them in with a mallet but once installed (took about 30min per side) I went and had my truck aligned and it fixed my camber issues from my 4in RC lift kit install.

I think the seller could do a better job on the printable installation chart. It was pretty difficult to read as far as being clean and clear, the one I printed was only ledgable with a magnifying glass . The bushing markings are ledgable and install was pretty easy. These did stop the death wobble on my 2002 F250 2WD pickup, but the sellers product support could be way better. You have to educate yourself on Castor and Camber, both negative and positive, to understand what you're doing. If you don't understand it, find someone who does to help you. Most likely you'll have to have your tow reset by alignment.

These were entirely too small for a super duty. They need to change the part description. They would more than likely fit a half ton just fine.
