This is no better than food coloring. It will cause damage to your pool. Stains liner stairs and anything it touches. My skimmer box is colored and it won't come out. If you have a cheap above ground Intex pool that you don't care about maybe go for it but if this is your in-ground pool or a pool that you care about then this is a hard pass. They should be sued out of business for the amount of damage it causes.

We used an entire bottle of red and an entire bottle of blue to make purple. It was so opaque, you could not see swimming under water. It was completely gone the next day.

Ordered this for my brother and SIL to dye their pool for a gender reveal and it did GREAT! The red came out a very pretty shade of pink with the dilution they mixed and it was a wonderfully different experience for a summer gender reveal! Didn't really leave any residue on the pool that a quick swipe with the brush down the sides didn't take care of!

Loved the colors but be aware it did dye the side of my pool and all the stuff in the pool. It all had to be scrubbed clean. My grandsons swimming clothes and skin always was dyed. But washes off the skin with a warm soapy bath.

We really wanted purple so we mixed red and blue. Although we didn’t really get the result we wanted the dye works great! We added more than recommended because we kept trying to change the color in order to achieve the purple we wanted and it didn’t stain the pool or bathing suits which I was afraid it would do. Our pool floats are a little stained but they were in the pool while we poured in the dye so that’s probably why. We love the product but we’re requesting that purple become available.

The blue and red work very well..the green on the other hand....died everything white on anyones swim gear green....for over a week!

This product is fun for small kids. Blue looks great in the pool. Red never really makes it to red. Green is amazing for plausible deniability: is it algae or did they dye the pool again? Only her hairdresser knows. It did permanently stain the insides of my skimmer, knocking it down one star for that. And it makes the water taste a little weird.

Okay, I've had an opportunity to use each of these three colors in my 18' round pool (which has a light blue liner), and here are the pro's and con's of this stuff:PRO'S: Color lasts about 3 days, although it lightens a bit with each passing day;CON'S: You have to use a LOT more of it than is "recommended" in order to achieve a color anything like what you might be expecting.The instructions say to use 1 ounce for each 5,000 gallons of water, so I initially used 2 ounces since my pool is 8900 gallons. After I added 2 ounces, the red coloring made the water very light pink, and the green made the pool very light "teal" colored. So, I added another 2 ounces (even though the directions specifically say you shouldn't add more) and the "red" made my pool a distinct pink, and the green made my water a distinct turquoise color, which was actually quite pretty. Probably because my liner is already blue, the water looked decidedly blue when I used 4 ounces of blue coloring.I think you'd have to add the entire bottle in order to make your water semi-red or semi-green colored, which means it'll cost you about $10 to create this effect for 2 or 3 days in an 18' pool. Is it worth it? I probably won't buy this brand again for that reason.
