This is the number one cause of oil leaks on a Honda K24. Also prevents the 3500 RPM shut down caused by a plugged oil sensor.

This kit has two screens. The back (smaller) screen sits on the VTEC solenoid in the back of the engine and, while not super easy, you can reach it from above once you know where it is. You just need some 10mm sockets. The front screen is a different story. The screen sits behind a little lid on the front of the engine (red arrow in picture) and there are other things mounted in front of it that prevents you from accessing directly. The easiest way, at least on this 2005 Honda Element, turned out to be to put some wood blocks under the engine and take the passenger side engine mount off. That way you have plenty of space to remove belt tensioner and power steering pump. A really deep 17mm socket required to remove the engine mount though.Once both screens had been replaced and the VTEC solenoid cleaned thoroughly with some carb cleaner (never use brake cleaner for this, it will eat away at the rubber gaskets) all VTEC related codes and issues cleared up.Remember to also do an oil change when you do this, so you dont unnecessarily clog up the new screens. While it took some time to get the work done, the parts themselves were of good quality and really affordable to get the car running like new again.

Gasket fit perfectly, unfortunately, had to use a very thin layer of Grey rtv around the edges to seal the vtec solenoid completely. No leaks so far.
