Have you ever tried a fisheye lens with your camera? For under $60, you can find out if you like wide-field imaging. My initial impressions (all relative to the price point):Optical Performance: Excellent sharpness in the center of the frame with considerable loss at the edges of the frame. Distortion and field curvature are typical of a fisheye lens at this focal length. Color aberration, both lateral and longitudinal, is excellent, as is color fidelity and color balance. The lens flare is present but surprisingly well-controlled. Vignetting is minor for a 172-degree field of view. The lens coatings are very high quality (I am a retired optical coating engineer). Looking down at the lens, it looks dark and dull. When mounted on the camera with the iris open, a perfect optical coated lens should look like a black hole. The metal lens cap is poorly designed and slipped off in my camera pouch, having the potential of scratching the front lens element. I would have preferred plastic. Because the lens is short, I had problems keeping my fingers out of the lens's field of view!Mechanical Performance: All metal construction. Weight is on the heavy side. Fixed aperture at F/5.6. Smooth focus ring (my sample is a tad on the loose side, but very workable). The build quality is excellent, and it mounts and unmounts easily on my Fujifilm camera body. The hyperfocal distance setting is about 1 m, meaning you can set it for all but close focus distances and leave it there for most of your photography. The close focus distance is about 6 inches and is surprisingly sharp.I highly recommend this lens. I am having more fun with it than with other fisheye lenses, which cost me about ten times more.

Amazing field of view. It's built very solidly. The only thing off about it is the wacky lens cover. It's aluminum and slides awkwardly on and often unintentionally off the lens front. Still, great deal at the price. It's not one you'll probably use often, bug fun when you do pull it out.

Read the independent reviews. Check what other photographers are saying about using the Brightin Star 10mm F5.6 Fisheye Wide Angle Lens and then pull the trigger, or, press the shutter button and get to know this lens for yourself. I don't regret buying this lens.

This is the best low-budget fisheye lens I have ever tried for any camera. The construction is solid. It's a bit heavier than the kit lens that came with my Canon M100, but much much lighter than a telephoto zoom. The lens comes with a brief manual, a sturdy gift box for storage, and a lens cap. It's a full frame fisheye, with some softness on the edges of the picture that isn't noticeable on a small screen but will be noticeable if the photo is shown on a large monitor or printed out. This should be fine for many hobbyists' purposes.Yes, it requires manual focusing, so if you're strictly into auto-focus and auto-exposure you will likely feel adrift very quickly. The manufacturers recognize this and provide some help in their manual on how to set up your digital camera to accept manual focus lenses and how to focus the lens, so that takes care of the focusing issue. But if you have a basic understanding of how shutter speeds and ISO work together to create a properly exposed photograph (which is beyond what the manual provides), you're going to have a lot of fun using this lens.

I’m impressed with this lens. Its build is sturdy, and it's manual focus but easy to use. I only gave it four stars because some grease was leaking from it.

I just got a refurbished Canon EOS m200 and attached this Brightin Star 60mm Macro Lens to it, I spent about half an hour in my backyard and took the attached photos with it. It is incredible value for the money, I would have rated this a PERFECT lens, though it has one major drawback. The lens I received did not have a front lens that would protect its internals from dust/sand. I've seen some YouTube reviews that included one, so I am bummed that this one didn't include it. I know I need to order one now, but I just don't know what it's called or what size I would need (this is my first camera!). Then this lens would be AMAZING! If you purchase this lens, make sure to buy that accessory and you'll be all set to take incredibly high-quality macro photos for a very reasonable price!Edit: I just ordered and received a Tiffen 62mm UV Protector Filter, it cost under $10 and fits this lens perfectly, it even has threads on both sides so you can still use your lens cap!Edit2: After owning this lens for 8 months, I can say the lens has held up very well. I have also added 3 more pictures to my initial review. Even though the product page states 19cm for focal distance, I have gone far closer while using focus stacking software with it. This has been an outstanding first macro lens for me and I am a solid fan of Brightin Star's products now.
