Screws are fine thread. Screws are probably meant for metal. You might have to get different screws for wood.

I installed this folding pull on a pantry door in the kitchen. The old handle stuck out some and would occasionally catch people in the arm as the walked past. This being able to fold over and out of the way was just what I was looking for. Before I got this pull I hadn't considered pulls that fold over. I did need to get some wood screws from the store since the screws that come with this pull are meant for a metal door and have a fine machine thread instead of a coarse wood screw thread. Easily fixed, and not a deal breaker in my mind, but something to consider if you want this on a wooden door rather than a metal one.

This pull is solid. My use will be on an outdoor heavy hatch lid. The fold down feature is perfect for my needs. A normal handle would create a trip hazard for sure. Just a great product.

This handle is very sturdily constructed and is great for the saw table I'm building for a utility drawer. I like the fact that it sits nearly flat against the drawer until the drawer needs to be utilized. This saves my shins from the inevitable overzealous bump when I walk up to the table.Beyond sturdy, it looks nice as well and is well priced.

I appreciate the collapsible ability which, on a guitar pedalboard, adds a bit more space to maneuver a pedal around it. This is definitely a heavy duty handle and well made (and comfortable). I liked it so much I bought one (Vine only allowed one free purchase). The price is a bit steep, however, this handle won't be breaking anytime soon!
