WARNING!! The description is NOT correct. The boring bar is 10mm, not 3/8. I bought the quick change tool post which has a 3/8 holder, it DID NOT FIT. I was able to ream out the bushing for the holder and get this boring bar to fit in it. Just be aware of this if you buy it. Other than that, the inserts seem to cut mild steel fairly well. And at $39 for 10 inserts it's a very good price (inserts are usually $5-$12 each). I'd buy this again if that was the only way to get the inserts. Only 4 stars due to the inaccurate description.

Not a bad part, but the o.d. is .390" not .375" normally wouldn't be an issue but I bought it to fit a boring head for my Bridgeport and some modifications had to be made.

Inserts fit fine, have only used on aluminum so far. they hold up on aluminum, not sure about tougher materials.
