2.Pull the Choke knob
3.Pull the Start Handle quickily(several times)
4.Hear the sound and push the Choke knob

Got this for my dad to do minor yard work. He said it runs good, start up was fast and easy. For it's size it cuts through some thick trees. I was worried, but the other reviews on here did a great job giving details! I can't give lots of details like did, but can say it does work good like a name brand chain saw. A good buy for the money.

I had several medium sized trees (8-12 inches in diameter) to clear after Hurricane Helene and didn't want to but an expensive chainsaw for a one time job. I purchased this inexpensive chain saw just hoping it would get me through the weekend, and it surpassed my expectations. It was put to work hard and it started easily everytime, the power was good, and the chain held up. I used it several weeks later and it started right up again. I thought this might be a throw away, but it is quite good.

I used this product for my business all I was doing was cutting down some stumps to bury under the ground so that they weren't sticking out and people couldn't get hurt on them by tripping. As I was using it the chain seemed to work really well for the 1st couple of cuts and then it constantly was coming loose and I had to continually keep stopping loosening it up tightening the chain and then tightening up the nuts again. The cutting of the chainsaw was not as great as I expected it to be it definitely is not for pro use like it says on the Box. It was also very very difficult to get it to start when I 1st needed to use it it took a very long to get it to actually start up.. Once you get it to start up it actually starts up very easy after that that was the only upside. I tried both sides chains to make sure thit sure that it wasn't something we're just one of them or the other and they bolted the same thing they both cut fine for a little bit and then they started coming loose and I had to tighten it after every few cuts also it seems like the chain even though it wasn't it seemed like when it was cutting it was cutting as if the chain was very dull and it took a very very long time just to cut a little bit of stumps. I ended up requesting a refund and I would not recommend this chainsaw to anyone unless you're cutting little small branches with it because it doesn't perform like it's supposed to.
