Love this wonderfully deep filter with lots of surface area. It seems well built. And I’m especially pleased with the foam margin, which ensures a good fit, blocking any by-pass flow.I’m expecting the increased surface area will give better air flow, and longevity of the filter. I’ve only recently installed it, so I look forward to seeing how it serves over the coming months.

I messed up on this because my husband told me we needed a 20"x20" filter. Yes, this is indeed that size, but I didn't realize how thick it was. He thought it still might fit, but the way our AC is, there's a piece of metal in the way. It almost fits, but not quite. I was disappointed because the filter looks like it's a much higher quality than what's currently in there and I think it would have great air flow.Lo and behold, we found out this is the exact filter my in-laws have in their home. So we installed it and so far, so good. It's functioning fine and I will definitely get them another one. It's a good value for the money.The only not-perfect thing about the filter was that when we got it, the cardboard lattice across it had been broken and I didn't think anything of it, but my husband said once the air flow hits it, it might make a noise. He just clipped off the broken part, so no biggie and I wouldn't take any stars away from it just for that because it was most likely an issue with shipping than production.

This air filter sure does its job. My nose isn't running like a faucet anymore, and the air feels cleaner, like I'm breathing in mountain air or something. It's like this thing gobbled up all the dust bunnies in my house.It's not a fancy gadget, but hey, it's doing what it's supposed to without any fuss. Makes a great birthday or Christmas gift for anyone who’s tired of sneezing every time they walk into their living room. They'll thank you for the gift of clean air.

The post said that it would fit a 1" deep intake. It was pretty tight. But this filter has a rubber gasket that I have never seen on any HVAC return filter. Truly filtering 100% of the air now.

The filter was true to size and fit well in my HVAC unit and functioned flawlessly. The value seems great as other thick higher MERV filters come at almost double the price. The filter installed with ease sliding in and I was back up and going in no time. As far as longevity I believe that due to the increased thickness I should get about three months service life from the filter which seems to be the standard.

This filter fits the standard 20x20 return grill. BUT -- The filter itself is 1 inch smaller all the way around, (after the first inch), so that the filter area itself is 3 inches deep. This means that you get much more filter area, which means that your HVAC system can more easily pull air through this system.This filter is specifically for houses that normally would use a 20x20x1 filter, the first inch is that size, and it slips in perfectly.I know these seem expensive, but it is really worth it.Finally, a lot of filters have cardboard frames that end up "whistling" when the HVAC is running. This filter has a foam edge (it looks like it is simply stick-on foam insulation 1 inch by 1 inch. This is a great idea, works perfectly, forms a great fit, and doesn't make any noise.Definitely recommended.
