This arrived and the horrendous smell that reviewers also noticed was DEFINITELY present in mine as well. Instinctively I did not want to put this in my tank and started a return…. I am going to be haunted by my regression of that decision for a long time due to the consequences. After initiating the return, I read the sellers information sheet they included which stated that the rancid stench of death is COMPLETELY NORMAL and they will refuse a return for this reason. So I put it in an open bowl like the care sheet recommended for 24 hours. The smell was still there, but less pungent. So I made the worst decision and added a little to my established tank. The entire tanks occupants, even down to the ghost shrimp who literally feed on algae ALL DIED within the first 24 hours.I am overwhelmed with guilt for killing all my fish by adding this poison to my tank. I’m also furious. There were zero issues with my tank before and they ALL does within a day of adding this so I know it is due to this garbage. DO NOT RISK YOUR FISH FOR THIS!!!

First, I ordered these from Plant My Tank, and they are very many. They came in a sealed bag with plenty of air and moisture inside and the plants look very vibrant with minimal wilted mixed in. They also smelled very fresh, didn't even smell like pond water, which gives me confidence that they were well rinsed before packaging. I ordered the 200 option but if I had to guess there are probably closer to 350-400 at least. I know some probably won't survive but I was worried that there wouldn't be enough and I would have to order more. I may end up putting some in my aquarium as well as my pond just because I have the extras.Dec 2021 edit: put some in my aquarium to winter last year and they are still thriving and were used in my pond again this last summer. The hardest thing with them is making sure to constantly thin them out because they multiply VERY fast, especially in warm water. I am still very pleased.

When I received the plant it was mush there was water leaking everywhere that smelled like death to the point where I actually vomited.... When I read the instructions that were covered in water that smelled of death I tried to do exactly as the paper said keep it out of some my not put it straight in aquarium and so on.... However when the leaves turned white I knew they were dead..... Not one plant survived the travel.... I contacted the seller who proceeded to tell me that I must have done something wrong they came green that means they were alive except for they came dark dark green almost black and mostly mush...... I explained this to them but they still decided to tell me somehow it was my fault I won't be buying from the seller again it was a waste of money and when I tried to ask for help before writing a review they just told me I was obviously doing something wrong when I did everything the instructions said and have bought and other duck weed previous to this from a different seller......While it came in a URINE specimen container that should have kept it safe and the water in it must have not been closed properly. Buy at your own risk.... If something happens they tell you you didn't follow the directions. Will be taking this to claims.

Bought these for my new planted aquarium. They look great!I received well over 200 duckweed plants that were nice and green, with some dead duckweed underneath the live ones, which was expected to happen during shipping, so it's okay.As stated in the product description, they came in a container that reeks of sour sewage when opened, which is normal, so just be careful not to open it inside. There are some main things to keep in mind before buying:- Each little duckweed plant is flat and extremely tiny, and sticks to most aquarium tools, so taking them out and putting them in a separate little dish before doing tank maintenance is recommended.- You need to make sure that the water you keep your duckweed in is somewhat calm on the surface, otherwise the duckweed will get caught up in the water column and filter, making a mess.- These little guys help keep the surface of the water more clear as well as shade the inhabitants below it, and are a great addition to an aquarium or aquatic plant setup.- Shrimps sometimes like to hang onto these plants and search for food on the underside of them, which looks a bit weird, but it's perfectly normal. Also, many fish choose to lay their eggs under the duckweed to keep them protected, so please keep the duckweed undisturbed if you see them.I'm writing this review a few months after I bought the duckweed plants, and thought I would share. Overall, they're selling healthy, long-lasting, hitchhiker/pest-free plants that are beautiful and do a fair bit of good for your aquarium. Would buy again. :)

A little expensive for what it is. $13 for 200 little, teeny, tiny plants. The wife looked at me a bit funny when I put theseinto a water filled 6" deep box in the green house: " You paid what for that?" The box was designed with a gentle, subsurface flow. They had arrived in moist paper towel, apparently carefully counted, but with a handy extra bag of about 20 complimentaryplants ... just so I didn't feel so bad about how small or how little 200 plants really is. Did I mention tiny? They did arrivepromptly and alive. I added a bit of ammonia and rock phosphorous to the water in the box. It took about 3 days beforethey started to multiply. After about 10 days, the entire water surface was covered and I can use the excess as a feed treatfor the tilapia. The 5-8" tilapia simply love this stuff.Over all, A much better experience that the one I had last year with "mangrovesandmorenursery"
