Too expensive for a leaking valve.

These seem to be decent quality. They're made from cheaper brass vs name brand fittings, but so far I've had no issues. The gaskets work and the shut off valve has held. For the price these do the job fine. If it's something you think you'll be putting to excessive use and want it to last a long time you may want to spend the extra cash and buy Fieldpiece or similar accessories.

One of the valves broke in half when testing for vacuum, and they both leaked. Horrible!

Every time you charge a system, what's the first thing you do?Bleed all air out of your manifold & hoses!Normally I'd give a toot of refrigerant just to purge the atmospheric gasses out of my lines just before connecting them. Using this inline valve, I can purge and then close the valve...or disconnect/reconnect to another fitting without having to purge the entire line volume each time. The double tee fitting with Schrader valves let's me draw a vacuum and then introduce refrigerant without cocking a fitting. Using one's creativity, there are many useful scenarios for either or both of these fittings - used together or separately to save time and keep refrigerant loss to a minimum (as we do)I've used these fittings to service a few systems already and have not had any problems with the seals not working or the valve leaking pressure or vacuum. There are 2 extra seals included with this set and you'll be needing them sooner or later...refrigerant and operations associated with using these fitting and doing your job will wear things out.I keep all my extra seals in an airtight bottle with my Schrader valve tool so there always clean and ready to use/replace.This probably isn't a 'commercial grade' product but for maintaining our 10+ refrigeration devices in our store, they are working just fine for me.If you do refrigerant work, get yourself a set (or three) of these and you'll enjoy the convenience.Very useful. Two thumbs up!
