I bought this end mill to replace a POS, HHS end mill. I didn't want to spend a lot so I selected this end mill. There where a lot of these that where way more expensive. But I desided to give this one a chance. So far so good this end mill has performed flawlessly and has milled 3 or 4 times more than the HHS end mill. So I would say that this is well worth the purchase.

Needed to mill a fair bit of alloy steel. Wish I knew the material hardness for reference, but my quality 8% cobalt HSS end mills were not handling it well and they were dulling. So far this carbide end mill has handled a fair amount of cutting like a champ. Clean surface finish on parts, tool is still very sharp and AlTiN coating still looks good.

I regularly use these bits in my router table because they cut so cleanly and effortlessly. They are sharp because they are intended to be used as metal cutting bits. So as I use them for woodworking I can’t imagine them not lasting virtually forever with a little care.

Works perfectly in my “World’s Finest Trimmer 2.” I was a bit worried that I wouldn’t be able to chuck it in my drill because the shank is about a half inch shorter than the HSS end mill provided by Little Crow gunworks but, it secured just fine in my drill. The carbide cutter is a MUST IMO for those trimming thousands of brass casings! The amount of pressure needed to press on the casing with your hand is cut in half with the carbide over the HSS and your hands will thank you. The productivity increases but I actually still take my time advancing the case while cutting. Forcing will cause chatter and inconsistent trim lengths will happen as a result.

This cutter performs well. Great value. Cut 4140 no problem leaving a nice finish.
